Yes, Brian was the guy that got shot. He was a bouncer but not on the strip. He worked in Duson. Flugence, a part time cop from Carencro, was the bouncer at Makos who killed him.

What most people don't know is that this was an on-going fued about an asian stripper that they were both banging. I knew and bounced with both and I never saw what happened coming. Hell, I was the one that Flugence was pointing the gun at when the cops took him down. Definitely made me rethink the bouncing thing.

Was Pete's around before the keg? Same building? We used to hit up Mako's, as well as Shanahans for penny pitchers.

The Keg was Pete's for a short period in the early 90s.

The strip was da shite back in the day. The area around it was very scary if you didn't go with a group though. I knew a girl that went to Teurling Catholic back then. Her parents loved me and would let me stay in their spare bedroom. That's how I lived through them days because my house was 40 miles away.

It was college kid apartments, except Lafayette Motors and beyond in that direction. Far from dangerous, though.

Really??? Was it the one that was a former Ms. Fitness Louisiana? If so, she was very popular on the private party/bachelor party circuit!

Speaking of Pete's and the Strip area , how many remember Pedro's (Mexican restaurant) ? circa 1990-91

it was one of Preston Guidry's side businesses and located in the red brick building where the Bulldog currently is

I use to eat there often since my gf at the time lived 1 block away and her roommate was the hostess

I witnessed a murder there on Mardi Gras day, 1995 (or 96).

I was there too. I'll never forget that dude laying on the ground with a white sheet over him. Did you get hit with the mace when they pushing people back? That shite sucked.

My dad was the manager of the keg back in the 70's. as fun as it was for me, I can only imagine what it was like for pops.

I frequented the Keg in the early 70s, unfortunately don't remember much about it!

I had a brother that turned 18 in March of 95. I didn't turn until 96 but had access to his license, for a small fee of course
