Yeah... The end of the world party at NiteCaps was awesome right before the law went into effect. All of us that were under 21 lined up drinks and shots across the bar and almost killed ourselves at 11:55. At midnight, they did some sort of clean up, made us wear wristbands or something...

The law changed a few months before my 21st birthday, with no grandfather
Not that anybody enforced it for a while

I remember nitecaps pushing some iced coffee or something preparing for the law change

I was there too. I'll never forget that dude laying on the ground with a white sheet over him. Did you get hit with the mace when they pushing people back? That shite sucked.
No. I don't remember the mace. I was on McKinley St. and the crowd pushed me into the Keg (or Sticks or whatever it was at the time) lawn.

Speaking of Makos, we are doing another Makos On The Strip Reunion August 22nd. The last one was 400+ people and great fun.

was it that little short Asian chick that stripped at the club on Cameron? forget the name

PoppaQ was a racist SOB.
I remember The Pub would start with $.25 beer for an hour, then raise it $.25 every hour after that. Don't think I ever saw the 3rd or 4th hour

They sold Schaefer Light in cans. You're correct, we paid up till .75, that was the cut off for that shite. We then moved to MGD in bottles $1.00. I think Monday night the MGD bottles were .75 until 10 p.m.

I remember a Makos near Alexandria in the late 90s

Everyone was on ecstasy and swinging glow sticks on strings, chewing on Vicks inhalers..while DJ trashy and the likes of him were playing their breakbeats.

Same with firestone in Lafayette.

I was a regular on the strip back in the late 90's. Mostly Shannahan's but the keg as well. Never went to Mako's....

from the times that I was there, it involved large cylindrical objects being placed into human orifices and various female to female contact.

(No, I'm not a female and did not participate)
