Saw that La gives you a $13k tax credit and the Fed gives you $9k

Pretty good credits.
If you live in BR you can recharge for free at the Supercharger.

I still want it to get below $50k, but right now the cahs price on a 65w model S is $56,000 with the credits.

Not bad.

The model X coming out next year will be a game changer in the Suv market.
A battery powered car that can tow your (small)boat and hold seven people...

Hell the standard car already holds seven with the rear facing seat installed.

They are starting to seem like a good deal with that warranty and the free charging stations all over.

I'm buying the s next year but I do not think Texas has credits for it. I wish they did.

I'm about 75% gonna drive to Houston in next 3 months to test drive and then order.

ETA: I'm not buying there, order online. Just have to go there to drive one

I am thinking the X would be a great fleet vehicle if it wasn't so costly.
I really like it/ But going form a $24k work van to a $75k work van would be crazy. But for a family sedan the S seems like where it's at.

You can play around on the website and it tells you the credit you should expect.
Then upgrade to AWD and the larger battery pack seems like a must have. I also like the third row seat option.

I'd already have one too if Texas had tax credits. Hope they come down in price soon.

MIL just bought the P85D, or whatever the performance model is. Awd and over 600hp. Salesman said it's faster to 60mph than a McClaren F1 and I believe him. Incredible car.

Requires a little planning. Not unmanageable. Would use it mostly around Houston. The thought of not having to go to another gas station is really appealing. Also, the simplicity of design is very attractive.

If you want to ensure the death of your children from being rear ended, yeah, it's a nice option.

I don't think the direction facing would decided their fate. They would just see it coming this way.

Has nothing to do with what direction they're pointed, it has to do with the fact that they're sitting in the trunk. You know, that buffer zone that gives your car room to crumble and absorb an impact to keep you safe?

Well, in this instance, it would be your children crumbling

I have two. Stopped driving one after a couple weeks and back in the f250. I make the wife drive hers instead of putting miles on the Benz. She hates it
