If you're looking for parts/ resources, VW club would actually be of more assistance.

Both are great cars, albeit quite different

My aunt had one in the 80s. That is all I've got.

You poor child, admitting to driving something like that.

My daddy once said, "driving a 914 is like fricking a whore. It feels good while you're doing it, but it gets embarassing when friends find out what you're doing."

I'm sure it would be a good car to own if it had a VW badge rather than Porsche

You: "I'll pick you up at 7. I'll be in the orange Porsche."

Your date: "Oh?"

You: *Pull up in your orange Porsche 914*

Your date: "Oh..."

I had a 1972 I had bought used in 1992. It needed a clutch at the time and I got the car for $100. I knew Dave from work and he was moving to Atlanta and just offered it to me one day at work after we talked about his moving, packing, etc. I sold it about 10 years later sight unseen to a buyer for $600. It was not running but he wanted it to restore. His name was Dave as well.

Rennlist

They even have a subforum for the 914. Great Porsche forum. When I had my 944S2 I was a regular contributer as was an LSU fan on this forum.
