Application was accepted. I’m currently doing the Jospeh Phillips Seminar, I have Rita’s book, and Andy’s Book. I heard PM Prepcast simulator is money. Can anyone confirm? Any other advice? I’m shooting for a FEB test date.

God, I hate having to deal with project managers. It’s more damn work to keep them updated, complete my WAR, and give my engineering manager updates. shite, can’t they just do my fricking WAR?

Yeah that’s what I figured as well, but for $500 or whatever the exam fee is it’s a small price for those letters.

Did you memorize the 49 processes? I’ve heard that’s necessary but the ITTOs aren’t necessary to memorize.

Did the test have a lot of EVM? I’ve heard mixed reports. I’m very comfortable with EVM, but a little less so with the more esoteric stuff.

I found that knowing the inputs and outputs really helped on test day. That being said, it felt like most of the study materials I used were a money grab by the publisher. Good luck.

As a certified PMP, it is not useful at all in my current role. Total waste of time on my part getting that cert.

Did having your PMP help to get that role?

Thanks for the feedback. I agree it all seems like a money grab, but for <$1000 all in it isn’t a huge investment.

I can see that. I’m finishing up my MBA and wanted the more technical aspects as opposed to big picture MBA stuff.

Man I really thought about getting that one, but the material in that PMBOK thing just looked like gibberish to me.

the whole test was a matter of knowing how to prepare your dump sheet.

Thanks. Not doing the boot camps. From what I saw they range from $2-3k and the ROI isn’t there for that cost.
