the whole test was a matter of knowing how to prepare your dump sheet.
I’ve read that they’ve recently changed the dump sheet timing. It used to be you could begin writing once the tutorial started, but apparently now they’ve changed it so that you cannot begin writing until the tutorial is complete and the timer has started.

I’m currently doing the Jospeh Phillips Seminar, I have Rita’s book, and Andy’s Book. I heard PM Prepcast simulator is money. Can anyone confirm? Any other advice? I’m shooting for a FEB test date.
I got mine back in 2016. All I really did was go through the Rita book twice and took one week boot camp class in Dallas so I can have the hours to sit for the exam. From my recollection, the test questions on most practice test are harder than what you'll see on the actual exam. If you are scoring in average over 80-85% on practice tests, you are ready to sit for the real exam.

Good deal thanks. I heard the PM Prepcast simulator is harder than the actual exam and if you score 65-70% range on it then your ready to sit.

I'm a PMP, because my company requires it within a year of becoming a PM. It helps the selling credibility of project management effort to be able to say that the entire staff of PMs are certified.
I don't find it particularly helpful to anything I do day to day, but every once in a while I'll grab a formula from the pmbok that applies.
Get it if you want. It's cheap credentials and the test is tricky but not hard (if that makes sense). Good luck.

Got mine several years back. Only studied using Rita’s book and drilling the processes/inputs/outputs into my head.
PMBOK is garbage and Rita’s material does a better job of explaining the whys and hows rather than the what.

Did you memorize all the ITTOs?
Posted on 11/30/19 at 7:45 pm to OleWarSkuleAlum
Mostly. Spent a lot of time studying those.
Then just broke down the rest of the content into 1) what matched my workplace, 2) what didn’t match but I knew the PMBOK standard, 3) what was iffy knowledge, 4) what I had no clue about.
Spent most of my study time on ITTOs and 3/4. I went over 1/2 when I started studying then one last time the week before the test but ignored them other than that.

As a certified PMP, it is not useful at all in my current role. Total waste of time on my part getting that cert.
I feel the exact same way... waste of time and money

My wife has her PMP; got it about 2 years ago. she does various projects for her company and gets assigned a new one every few months. That’s all I got.
