OK. Let's say that you're leaving tomorrow on a business trip to Vegas. your wife comes to you this afternoon as says she'd be fine with you driving out to the Bunny Ranch for a bit of fun. What would you say to her?
Fast forward a week or two. Now she comes and tells you she'd going out with some dude this Friday night and plans on letting him frick her. There's no emotional connection there (at least that's what she says), she just thinks he's hot and wants him to frick her. Would you be cool with it?

I'm sure they wouldn't have gotten divorced if they were monogamous
They had been married something like 10 years and were monogamous. Their problems started when they decided to not be monogamous any longer.

I feel like most professionals my age (millennial) have done or plan on doing some non-monogamous activities with consent/active participation from their SO
Just because 2 or the bros at the firm lie to you about getting some permitted strange doesn't mean the majority of 25-35 years old professionals in committed relationships are out chasing tail so that their SO can rub one out to the thought of them banging a rando.
This is like the pledge who thinks that because his new fraternity bros do a lot of molly that half the campus is rolling every weekend.

This is stuff you talk about wayyy before you even do anything outside the relationship. If I said yes before, then I would say yes then. I'm talking about a situation where the SO has no interest in outside D, but just wants to hear about you banging another girl

Different strokes for different folks. I was laughing because a thread like this would be completely different on a more northern message board. But I do find it very hard to believe most guys on here wouldn't jump at the opportunity to use a hall pass if their wife gave them one
A relationship where a wife would need to grant a yard pass wouldn't require one in the first place so a situation where a wife volunteers the aforementioned YP should be taken as highly suspect and likely a trap.

well, here's a thought... don't get married.

Wait... you honestly think a married woman is going to tell her husband to go frick other chicks and not plan on fricking other dudes herself?

That simply is not a realistic scenario. She may think this is the case, she may tell you this is the case, but this is NEVER THE CASE!!! If a guy actually follows through, the woman's jealousy will get the better of her. Even if she tells herself she will be ok with it, she won't be. Why? Because deep down inside every woman, they know that that kind of behavior is NOT OK. That guilt and shame and anger will result in her cheating "to even the odds" guaranteed, 100%, every time.

We might frick around with other bitches together sometimes, but "hall passes"?
frick no
WTF? Are you like, 60, or something?

So you seriously believe it's more common in other states?

Anyways, didn't want to turn this thread into a big monogamy/non-monogamy thread. I do realize the majority of posters live in LA/MS/AL
I am a Millennial with a lot of married friends who lives in the heart of Chicago and have never heard of this even being a thing.
Maybe you're just fricked up?

A situation like I described in the OP? For sure. And at the very least, people are more open to talking about it. Still not very "common," I'm sure.

+1
Unless the woman has SERIOUS issues, this is just not going to happen.
99% or women won't even let you talk in detail about another girl, less will enjoy hearing about it and exactly none will allow you to go through with it.
I had one fiend who was somewhat open with his wife but it was more about him getting strange and it didnt last. She seemed to being doing it to make him happy.

I think in your younger years you spent too much time sneaking into your dad's Penthouse Letters stash.

I mean, I'm not some bible thumping marriage champion. We didn't get married in a church for a reason.
But if someone is going to make an argument, they can't just throw around terms like "most" this or that and not support it.
And honestly, I don't care what you do with your marriage/SO at all, just had issue with your lack of evidence for statements made.

So if your wife told you she wanted you to hook up with another girl on your business trip. No strings attached. You would 100% say no?

Seriously. I can't believe I never ran into any of the many women that just want to hear about me fricking some other girl.

no one with even a litlle bit of sense believes there will be "no strings attached".

This would be like finding a unicorn sitting in a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow holding a winning $500 million Powerball ticket. Do you honestly think that happens with any sort of regularity?
