I don't get hall passes. I ask if she knows of any scheduling conflicts with kids events or social functions. If not, I tell her what I will be doing. I never understood why any man would ask his wife permission to do something.
ETA: Apparently, some of us have a different idea of what a hall pass is. Is the OP talking about getting the ok from the wife to get some strange?
