Lol makes me think of the Goodfellas scene where Karen is worried about all the cash, and Henry is like no one is gonna mess with it!

Where were the cards kept while you were on the honeymoon?

You got any drug headed relatives? I'd suspect them far before I'd suspect someone who was working for the reception venue. If that were the case, this almost certainly would have happened before...

Better start having some tough conversations with some family members.

That's just it. It is far more likely to be some idiot relative/guest than an employee, and it is not a good idea to show up to the reception hall guns blazing only to later find out they were not guilty.

A lot of weddings I've been to outsource either catering, bar tending or both. I can't tell you how many weddings I've been to where it's the first time the idiot serving drinks has made a gin & tonic. I wouldn't put it past one of them, ballsy as it may be.

Hopefully they've got cameras.

Yeah I bet it was one of your guests at the wedding. Anybody that has a questionable past should be under suspicion.

No. No one in family has drug problem. Two that did at some point have passed long before the wedding. Trust me, wife and I are thinking of every family & friend and can't come up with a single one.

Not only that, but present table was right by DJ booth. Gonna have a talk with DJ. If something shady was happening, he and his assistant should've seen it... At least I would think so.

Trust me, I'm not so naive to think that it couldn't be a family member or friend, but it was a pretty small wedding filled with only those close to us.

You're right LL. I need to go in guns holstered. Let them know the issue and see if they've ever had any similar incidents reported from prior wedding parties.

It feels significant now, but don't let it ruin your wedding memories and experience. Shitty things happen - I don't blame you for being mad, but take it all into perspective. You've supposedly married the woman you love for the rest of your life. The money as an impact to your entire life is trivial. Just keep some perspective.

I am sorry that happened, though. What a terrible thing to for someone to do -- regardless of who it was.

Crazy to feel like you need someone to watch your wedding gift table.

Next wedding you should have a drop box with a lock for standalone cards.

You're right. The issue doesn't affect my marriage. I don't even care about the money. But I do care about someone thinking they can steal shite from me. That's my only issue. Just low down and dirty.

I think we need to have a little heart-to-heart with moms.

You may need to question your mother.

Are you aware if she has a drug problem or not?

Similar thing happened to friend and his wife. Hotel transported all gifts from reception to bridal suite. They "didn't find anything on the cameras."

Just my time.

No Bar at all.

1 glass of crappy wine to toast them.

Marriage didn't last.

Brother in law got married at my in laws house. Wife and I stayed at the house that weekend since we live out of town. Someone stole my laptop out of our room which was upstairs and not used for the wedding at all.
