Some are dishonest unfortunately. Its all about which code they think they can justify. A full mouth prophylaxis is your normal cleaning. They are probably trying to justify scaling per quadrant which is a lot more. And its not once diseased always diseased. You can't grow bone back from bone loss, but you can easily stop perio disease

Good to know b/c the dentists over on dentistry Reddit are big into saying once you have perio-disease it will never go away and you'll be visiting dentist every 3 months for life. Sure sounds like BS to me.
