The WH in Port Allen (Plaq side of the bridge) is privately owned and the absolute cleanest, most awesomeist WH I've ever been to.
I eat there sober, used to call in a BLT and hashbrowns at least 3x wk for lunch. Had it ready when I walked in the door 10 mins later.

I would go to Waffle House here(cause they are one of the few places I can actually find grits in AZ)....however the only waffle houses out here are in some really sketchy parts of town all the way on the west side of Phoenix.
Yet you see IHOPs and Denny's everywhere here.

I love Bourdain. He's curmudgeonly, but he's not a food snob at all. The episode where he went to South Louisiana, hung out at a boucherie and raved about the whole experience was great.

I love me some Waffle House. We used to stop after every LSU football game at the one in sorrento when I lived with my parents.
