I used to live just down the road from there in Belhaven. I doubt this was a drug deal gone bad given that this is a pretty busy intersection. I used to eat at the Mexican restaurant there all the time.

I just got into work and got the download from some people who live in the area.
Apparently she was shot at the intersection of State and Fortfication near Fenians and Pizza Shack. Rather than drive back toward State where Baptist Hospital is, she kept driving toward I-55.
She worked at Twin Peaks. Just a young girl having a good time.

There is no drug dealing at that intersection. Too busy. There are some bums that hang out there but frankly, they'd hock a gun to get more booze or drugs if they had one.

I knew I recognized her from the picture. She was a waitress at the twin peaks off 55 in Jackson. Sweet young girl smh. I remember her taking pics with the cars in my old car club during a meet and greet we had at that twin peaks. Just a stupid, senselesss act of violence.

She was leaving Ole Tavern (formerly George Street). Thursday night is ladies night, and it is a very busy night, especially now that school is back in.
She stopped at a light, and someone walked up to her and shot her. This is in Jackson, but its in the medical/academic corridor, not exactly a hotbed for thuggery, although it slips in every once in a while.
This is the building near that intersection. Not exactly the run down part of town.
