School bus driver would still have control of the steering wheel had he been wearing a seatbelt.

I'm just happy to see you admit that you are a tax collector.

What does that even mean?

I love how the asshats pull the 1 in a million article and say "look this person would have died if the had their seatbelt on"

"Sorry, your seatbelt seems to be broken. What do you recommend I do?"

Oh, and it's the annual "Let's fill the LSP coffers" with easy money campaign instead of doing actual police work.
Louisiana State Police does not make a cent off of any ticket they write.

You are a moron and know little about this policing you so love to criticize. One of those morons who thinks LSP got their raise from the general fund too ? lulz

I've worked with the company (GMMB) that materialized that whole campaign when I was in DC... They just got into new offices in Georgetown that are VERY Google-esque... polished concrete floors, tons of windows, colored conference rooms, porch swing on one of the levels...
Would love to work there... amazing marketing/design company.
Caveat: They helped Obama win on both campaigns

I've worked a fatality and bad injury due to unrestrained person being ejected and hitting another car. I've seen quite a few ejections on the fire dept that could have hurt others. That's just what I've personally worked. I've heard several stories from other coworkers over the years. I worked a wreck where dad got tossed on wife and broke her neck. It was partial break or whatever and she survived. She stated she knew it happened as he flew into her side of the head.
Eta: Sorry, just realized I responded to wrong poster

I love when the cops identify themselves.

They have to, by law.
Watch-
Who on the OT is a cop?
...
See? No one responded. The OT just has crooked cops.

As a retired cop I like your humor.
Seatbelts are very useful and they help your chances of not getting hurt or killed in a crash tremendously but part of being in a free country is the freedom to make bad choices and to live with those said choices.

So you dont wear your seat belt on the interstate?
No. My fear of being trapped inside a burning vehicle greatly outweighs my fear of being thrown through the windshield.
Most people who die in car wrecks don't burn to death. Even so, sometimes it isn't the seatbelt that traps them, but the car doors are too damaged to get open.

I see, although one is much more likely than the other. Im actually OCD about that as well. I always take my knife and stick it in my r/h pocket specifically for the occurence that I would be trapped in my vehicle due to a wreck and had to cut the seatbelt. My thinking is more about putting the truck in water though.
There is a safety knife in mine and the wife's cars for both reasons. Has a ripper specially designed to rip through a seatbelt like a seam ripper and a ball on the end of the handle for breaking glass.

Wait, people actually still drive a car without wearing a seatbelt?
#trashy
I always wear mine, but it's beyond stupid that you don't need a helmet on a motorcycle, but do need a seat belt.
