Never understood the appeal. I thought maybe because I am not 40+ but I also hear people in their 30s speak of her in this regard.

What has she actually done other than broadcast the news and marry a somewhat wealthy man?

If you've ever seen her up close,
Her face is incredible.

She has truly otherworldly skin.

Incorrect.

Excellent voice, fine timbre, outstanding writer and award-winning journalist.

WWL radio is pretty terrible overall, but she wasn't a problem.

I know. It must have been tough for her to beat out the rest of the fcktards in the talk radio and news station rotation in this fine state.

Hell, even by WWL radio standards, which seems to require that one have a high school diploma, she was the best.

You could kind of see (or I guess the right word would be hear) this coming. She never did seem to be that comfortable in the talk show format. It's not really a format for non overtly political personalities. People want their talk radio black and white (not racial - in the one extreme or the other meaning). She seemed to want to do feel good or human interest stuff. Not enough red meat for the masses.

I agree Angela was one of the good things on WWL. Deke was good for awhile but is now unlistenable. T-bob is pretty good he will do well.

People that dog her have no concept of how talented she really was and her excellent body of work. Honestly, she didn't fit in at the radio station.

When she cut her teeth, you had to really be a journalist. NOLA was lucky to have her talent.

When she and Garland got married, it was like a local version of Princess Diana's wedding. It got a ton of TV coverage.

It was a great time in NO tv...Hap Glaudi, Buddy D, Angela and Garland, Nash Roberts, etc.

Back in the day her local TV talk show had better ratings than any other national show in her time slot.. That's pretty amazing

Of course it has a lot to do with the culture here as the local wwl morning TV show still knocks the national cbs show off the dail. I am pretty sure that is the only local news show to do that.
