My grandpa had Alzheimer's and my grandma has Dementia. Alzheimers sucked, but I would still take that over what my other grandma is going through. Having a full mind but unable to do anything and just basically sit around to die is no way to live.

How crazy are we talking?

I think I'd lose my body. I'm 23, by the time I'm 40 stem cell research will be advanced enough that I'll be able to walk again. Or they'll have some sort of bionic implants or something.

My reasoning wasn't because there was any quality of life (I'm sure there's not) but nowadays at least you can communicate through eye movement. And I'm pretty confident about technology fixing physical ailments in the next few decades. Til then I'd just read books and talk with a Stephen Hawking voice.
