The newer Delta A320 with the IFE are very nice.

Yep, I am digging the DC to ATL version of this. Although recently flew an American A320 with IFE which was also very nice.

Just wait until 2023 when the airlines get approval to stuff people in the overhead bins and make everyone check their bags.

I prefer to fly in the A320's than Delta's newer 737-900ER. There's at least 4-5 inches more cabin width in the Airbus. I otherwise love Boeing though.

I knew a guy in school who was legit 5'2" but had super long arms and we always joked that God felt sorry for him at the last minute and gave him long arse arms

Is this just an outlier or are they really that much worse than the competition?

I used to fly ATL-DFW a lot on AA, but now I fly Southwest or Delta (or DL affiliates) 95% of the time. I had to fly American recently to USVI, and was instantly reminded why they're so loathed.

Everyone is obnoxious. Some lady tried to eyeball my carryon (international sized that gets no second looks on the little euro carriers whatsoever). The new boarding system is a joke, etc.

It's like they watched Delta go through their rebranding and improvement, decided to copy them, and then quit immediately after repainting the planes.

This is the dumbest idea ever. I'm avoiding American at all cost now. Screw losing 2 inches of leg room. I'm crammed now.

I bet they think people will pay for more leg room. Nope! I'm not paying at all. Lost me for life.

shite, I'd travel down in pressurized cargo with the dogs as long as they provide a crate big enough for me to turn around in. I'd have way more room and I could stretch out with my laptop.

there was a guy, a few years back, that worked for a freight hauler airline that shipped himself to his parents for the Christmas holidays, got busted, and fired I think

The ultimate stowaway:

a couple of years ago I was ferrying a 777 back from Europe, I decided to go exploring since we don't get to very often, I was down below the passenger seating level looking around when one of the E&E cooling doors(uses some outside air to cool the electronics,) took a gulp of air, scared the shite out of me, I could see the icy North Atlantic for a second, promptly got my arse right back upstairs

Relative to inflation, I think flying was actually cheaper back then

negative good buddy, fares were regulated back then too, now you can fly from the US to Europe and back for cheaper than you can drive your Prius from BR to Pensacola and back, and you get the clientele(not always the case,) associated with that

It's cheaper to fly to Istanbul than Atlanta sometimes.

Edit: I'm not exaggerating that much.
