*tl;dr skip to bottom of post

I have a buddy who was in a motorcycle wreck,(clearly doesn't make quality life choices), back in '12, he was actually on his way to work and got hit by a truck that was merging and it nearly killed him, he was actually dead for fifteen minutes or so and darthed his way back to life.

The wreck permanently disabled him as his leg is a mangled mess and go do longer do brick masonry, he got denied disability over six or seven times and just got on disability last year and lived by the grace of his awesome family. He basically blew his disability back pay on bullshite and terrible real estate investment. Then a few months ago the gubment yanked his food stamps.

Fast forward to a couple of months ago, my dad and I were coming back from a long day fishing and stopped and got some pizza from this great little wood fire brick oven place that just opened. Well we decided to call our manager to see if she wanted anything to eat because we bolted out of work early to go fishing because clearly that's what responsible business owners do, she said yes so we got her some pizza and headed to her house.

We show up at her house and break out a couple of beers and start talking shop, I'm sitting there shoving pizza in my face because I haven't had anything to eat in almost 36 hours and I'm starved when I hear a knock on the door behind me, it's her 8 and 12 year nephews who live with their dad who is my buddy who was in the motorcycle wreck. I instantly cringe, I hate kids... All kids... loathe them. They are loud, stupid and I have no purpose for them. They had seen my truck pull in and wanted to come talk to me about fishing, which clearly I want zero part of because I hate children. They come in, see me eating this pizza and literally began salivating at the mouth. I said,"you boys want some pizza?" and they tore into the box and started shoving it in their mouths like it was the last time they were ever going to eat. I have never seen people in a first world country eat like this, these kids were starved.

Our manager,(their aunt), instantly became embarrassed and called them down and they are both staring at her like Chris Farley from the old mall girls sketch on SNL saying,"lay off I'm starving!!!". This really bummed me out, I live a very sheltered life as I have almost zero hardship in my life expect for work, but that comes from living a extremely simple lifestyle and to see these kids wharf down pizza like that really bothered me. So I talked to them about fishing and have them both a titty twister and Indian burn then they bounced home full and happy. I then began to inquire about their living situation and our manager had informed me that their dad had his food stamps taking away and I knew that had to hurt him being a single dad living off a shitty disability check but he refuses to take handouts and I'd probably be the same.

I went home that night and felt like shite. There I was getting ready to tell them to scram and then find two minutes later that they haven't had anything to eat all day and were hungry af. I talked to my dad about and we both agreed it was a good idea to start showing up after fishing,(which is almost every other day for us), with,"food for our manager". This was a great idea and I was bringing some salads from Wendy's, which they ate for a while.

Fast forward to last week, it's the usual routine of showing up and them running down the street to meet us. We had been bringing our manager pizza the past week because that's what she said she wanted, but the kids could only have some if they ate a salad first. Well, these little shits had not been eating their dinner their dad or other family members had been cooking for them and was just waiting for us to show up with something better and he would say,"fine... You get nothing" and they would say,"we'll go to auntie's and eat". They even had been lying about not eating at all during the day for a while I can gather so we would take pity on them and I caught one of them rummaging through my truck while I was inside our managers house.

So how do I deal with this? Just tell my friend,"I have been feeding your kids because I didn't think you had been...", which is the truth or should I just tell them to piss off now because they are getting on my nerves which is also true because I still hate kids. I'm probably just going to tell my buddy I caught them pilfering through my truck for shite to steal and I didn't feel comfortable with them being around, which is really the best case scenario as they leave me alone which is the only real thing that matters now that I have brought this upon myself.

So what you guys think? Am I enabling or being mindful of hungry kids?

tl;dr- I've been feeding my disabled/poor buddies kids because I thought they were going without food and it had backfired with them becoming entitled little shits that just want to eat food that is not as healthy and I wondering how to defuse the situation peacefully. Also, I despise children so there is that.
