You did right. It is hard to distinguish who really just needs a small boost to get back on their feet, but our nature as Christians is to help people. I'm very happy to have read your story.

that update is seriously awesome.

Most of us come to the OP to read cynical comments and be assholes to each other. Reading this was an unexpected great change of pace

to you,you're a good person

Bgwin, do we not all remember this guy from several years ago? Thought Kstout would've pegged him already bragging about coke and strippers.

Corner kick, wheeeeee!!!!!

No good deed goes unpunished. You did a great thing and a number of people on here dump on you. Thank you for helping this lady help herself and her family.

One of my favorite lines in a song is from 'Gotta Kill Captain Stupid' by Suicidal Tendencies:

Oh, what's that?
So now you say life sucks
Well, ninety-nine percent of it's
What you make of it...
So if your life sucks, you suck

Good on you OP. I really hope she kills it and exceeds all expectations. Please keep us updated. I hope one day to be able to provide someone with something like that and them not skrew it up.

Hell, I remember how awesome it felt while having an awful day in the Chicago airport and someone "paying it forward" and buying my $1.00 sausage biscuit, so I cant imagine how she felt when you came through on this. Thanks for brightening someones life when you had the opportunity.

Thanks for the update. It's refreshing to see that compassion still exists today - even on the OT.

Good for you man. There are a lot of people in this world that would have kept walking. You may very well have saved a family. That one act of kindness may very well influence her kids outlook going forward.
