I remember the first whiny thread. Seems like you lie a lot. Half the staff of a random Applebee's has lost a girl to drunk driving, seems accurate.

Any manager who is stashing alcohol for underage employees and allowing them to leave the premises drunk in a car is on full retard. If those kids harm someone, that place is friiiiiicked.

It's a restaurant job so don't stress first off, there are plenty of them and if you were already on a short leash it means you've fricked up and a new start may do you good.
If you do have to start over try and apply the same values you take so seriously with drunk driving to your work. Work hard, be prompt, be courteous. There's not much more you need to be successful on a job liken that, and you will do fine.

You have immunity for the "good faith" reporting of a crime. As a citizen you have a duty to report behavior that is now lawful.
That being said, unless there is theft from the company or something directly affects you, it is best to mind your own business at work.
They cannot fire you. But they can see you as a trouble maker and make work hard on you and build a case to fire you.

Regardless of the circumstances, I'd cut your shifts to 1-2 per week if I didnt fire you.
You are a pain in the arse and I don't want an employee I have to worry about watching and reporting everyone's private business like a hall monitor.
I'd be hiring the new hot blonde girl right now and leaving your wet blanket arse out in the cold.

Of course they can.

I called the police on them and reported their plate number. So they tried to transfer everything to a 2nd car and I reported that plate number too. Finally they got the help of a manager of the restaurant to hide their stash of alcohol so if/when they got pulled over they had nothing and would come back and get it later.
You're not batman dude.
How do you know they were all too drunk to drive? How do you know one of them wasn't a designated driver. You kept track of each individuals consumption?

Snitches get stitches
Part of me hopes you get jumped by a group of teenagers. Then you'd really have something to come cry about here.

I took it as he was saying they couldn't fire him for harassment.
They can fire him for being an obnoxious pain in the arse.
Where are the loser posters who track down other posters IRL and get them fired when you need them....

Snitches get capped. By the way people like you need to mind their own fricking business. That shite had nothing to do with you.

You work at a restaurant dude. It's not like that is the only restaurant in the world. Who gives a frick if you get fired? You worried you won't be able to remember the new menu?

While I agree drunk driving is terrible I think you handled this incorrectly. If you're this passionate about this and actually cared for the safety of the people you work with ( I'm assuming you do if not then I'll shut up) you could have put your foot down and threatened to call the popo if you saw them drive off. People can respect a man with principles but no one respects a tattle tell nor should they.

What you did is not the legal definition of harassment in the workplace.

Harassment becomes unlawful where 1) enduring the offensive conduct becomes a condition of continued employment, or 2) the conduct is severe or pervasive enough to create a work environment that a reasonable person would consider intimidating, hostile, or abusive. Anti-discrimination laws also prohibit harassment against individuals in retaliation for filing a discrimination charge, testifying, or participating in any way in an investigation, proceeding, or lawsuit under these laws; or opposing employment practices that they reasonably believe discriminate against individuals, in violation of these laws
