Why even ask? Pit bulls are trash! There is such a thing as a stupid question don’t believe anyone who tells you otherwise.

That’s just it, Yorkies think they are 50 lb pit bulls.

I watched a buddy's yorkie jump and latch onto a deer mount and hung on writhing until it fell off the wall

I hate small dogs but I was impressed

You could snap that thing in half in an instant. Also give me some incident where a yorkie killed a human.

That’s the thing. It’s not that pits bite more. Their bites lead to the most deaths. That’s a fact.

That picture only has a couple pits in it you misinformation spreading dumbass

The point of the photo was if you took away the names and asked “which is a pitt bull” the vast majority of people would t be able to identify it because they all have the general characteristics. And when you start mixing all of those together with mutts and more mutts they all get called “pitt mix” which shelters are packed with, which aren’t the same full blood inbred monsters trashy people are breeding that you see on the news

Meaning, my dogs get along, I can introduce fosters to them, have attended daycare, etc. People and dog friendly. But same sex aggression is real in strong breeds that I listed. I got lucky and don’t have that issue. Some won’t, some will. For example, the National Great Pyrenees Rescue won’t adopt a female to a home with a female dog. In fact, it’s my Pyrenees mix no stranger had better cross my threshold and I have to introduce him to outsiders or it’s on. My bullies? They want to be best friends with strangers. I’m sure many rescues will adopt a female bully to a home with a female dog. Our’s won’t bc of potential down the road. We are super picky and want success. Our failure rate is nil.

That’s such a dumb photo because they throw in dogs that you rarely see and really expect me to think people confuse a boxer and a Rottweiler.

My b, take it more as educating the thread because people talk about aggressive dogs.

Dogs bite, all breeds can and will.

I picked up a dog behind the school where I used to work. I would go outside for a breather during lunch, and he would always come up to. After a while, I realized the custodial staff was feeding him. I took him to the vet, who said he “has a lot of pit bull in him”. He’s a mutt, but he’s now been my mutt for almost 10 years.

We adopted a collie-shep mix, and at 6 years old she’s the alpha. She constantly nips at his legs to get him to play. When they are together, they like to destroy things around the house. Needless to say, we crate them or pen one in the hall when we leave.

He is the biggest lap dog I have ever had. He will follow me around the house relentlessly, begs for ice chips, and truly is a man’s best friend. He doesn’t put up with mice, possums, or whatever else enters our backyard. Otherwise, he hasn’t shown aggression to nieces and nephews, our other dog, etc.

Just love the dog.

You have a small dog looking to loose an eye from a much bigger dog, that’s what you have. I know from experience, a few seconds turns into a couple thousand dollars from the vet, and then a big dog nobody wants, including the shelters. We still have Big Walter, the one that took an eye from Gizmo The Pug, things are better now but I’ll never trust them two being alone together again.

I had a pure bred yorkie years ago. He was about the same size as my dog now. I would hang his tennis ball about 3 ft off the ground. He would jump straight up, grab it in his jaw and hang there forever, twirling like a pit bull. It’s the terrier in them, same as pit bulls, they are terriers

If you read my op, I said I’m not looking to adopt a pit, just that it’s sad the percentage of pits that need adopting.
