I’ve got a mutt and a legit Aussie. Both are retards that I love dearly.

Nothing better than a “gently used” pup!

Mine is snoring next to me on the couch

Aw man. That looks like my old dog that was adopted. Had to put her down this year after about 7 good years.

Adopted muts are the best.

"Adopting" and "rescuing" are the two most pretentious terms in the history of dog ownership. Just say you went to the fricking pound.

Not all adopted dogs are gotten that way. Rescues probably, but not sure why this would trigger you.

It just annoys me when people come up with these terms to pat themselves on the back.

"My dog is a RESCUE."

bullshite. You found your dog eating out of a dumpster behind Red Lobster and you took it home.

When you find 4 huskies dropped off in the woods in St Helena left to starve to death and you bring them home they are considered a rescue dog. When you take those dogs each weekend to petsmart hoping someone adopts them they are adopted rescue dogs. The pound had nothing to do with this.

Especially in the northeast where it cost nearly the same to adopt a mutt as a pure bred lab.

My pound puppy laid down and died after 14 years earlier this year. $500 to adopt a mutt with no predictability as to temperament / health? No thanks. Just brought a lab home the breeder this month.

I don’t know if we adopted or rescued Moonshine. He was at a no kill shelter. Previous owners left him changed to a pole and moved. There was a smaller dog chained up with him that died a few days after neighbors found him.

Anyways, he’s one good dog. Not even really sure what kind he is other than some type of shepherd.

I've always wondered why dogs that are sold don't deserve a good home too. They don't decide if they are sold or not

Is this where we post our pups?

I took my pup in from a friend that needed to get rid of her.

Ours is a rescued golden, border collie mix. Wondered out loud every single day since we've had her how anyone could have abandoned her. Had many dogs in my life but this one is something else
