I took it 2 times officially.
Summer between 8th grade and Freshmen year as part of an AP placement thing to see "where you are at": 21 Unofficial
Junior Year: 25 Official
Senior Year: 27 Official
I took the Kaplan ACT prep course between Junior and Senior year which included 3 unofficial exams that bounced around the mid 20's. It doesn't make you learn more info on the test, but it teaches you how to take the test. Well worth it and I highly recommended if you have children taking the test.

I got a 28 and bombed the grammar section, like a 19. Then took the GMAT 10 years later and got 95% percentile on verbal and I have an engineering degree.

Never took it again. Got tuition and books / honors program scholarship to ULL. Dropped out and never graduated. I hate school.

I, too, made a 25 as a sophomore. It was above the NCAA-required 18, so I was done.
My breakdown scores were like 16 in English, 34 in Science, 32 in Math, and a 20 in Social Studies

25 then got very complacent. Signed up to take it again and didn't want to go, but my dad made me. Was randomly filling in the bubbles during some portions of the test and got a 20. Felt bad cause my ex girlfriend couldn't do better than an 18 with extra time .
