A Look At The Weather Around The Country

It has been a mild winter in South Louisiana so for. It was warm for Christmas, a cold front moved in during the New Years weekend, but since then it has been mild. It is currently 73° and through next week its going to be rainy... and highs in the 70s.
Looking at the weather map, everywhere else besides the deep south is having really cold weather. To all you weather experts, is this a result of some type of El Nino or is this a sign the world will end soon (for you idiots who think I am serious by asking this question.. I am not )

I just walked to the bar in shorts and a button up with the sleeves rolled up.... couldn't be a nicer day for Mid January if you ask me.

Last week we had tornadoes Monday and snow Friday. Im considering turning on the AC today.

We got through spells of below freezing weather to 60-65 degrees. And as a result, everybody is sick.
It's been more mild than usual but February is usually when we get hit with more significant snow events. So we'll see how it finishes out.

Oh.. I am not complaining. I have shorts and a long sleeve tshirt on, it could stay like this all year around.. I was just curious what the weather was like across the nation and just noticed that other than the deep south it looks cold as frick.

The temperatures are really not that cold for mid-January.

Hopefully it gets cold again soon. I have some more brush piles and old tractor tires to burn

I just don't want the mosquitos to get bad.. That's the only problem I have when it is mild for awhile.

Its in the mid 20s right now here in Boston. No snow, but I do have my parka on.
But it was in the 60's a few days ago, which sucked. Humid and all the snow was melting.
