Apparently, she was in the hospital since August and succumbed a few days ago. I just heard about it and even though I was never close with the guy, and haven't seen him in 20 years, it's been on my mind all evening. I never met or knew his wife.

The house fire was 10 years ago and he lost all of his daughters which included 11-year-old twins, an 8-year-old, and a 1-year-old.

Not sure how someone can keep going after all he has lost. He still has a son to raise so I guess that will help but I can't fathom the pain he has faced in the past decade.

I know of a couple that lost their kids in a house fire years ago. Not going to mention names. Hope it wasn’t her. That was so heartbreaking. I feel for your friend

My God that is awful to hear. Hopefully he can pull it together for the sake of the son. Both of them will need it the rest of their lives.

Awful story.

100% chance this turns into a vaccine thread.

I have no idea how someone can live after all that even separated by a decade. Survive yes but live no.

Yea this is what I was thinking about earlier. I imagine the past decade has been tough but at least he had his wife where they could help each other through it. Not that's gone too.

Good buddy of mine's wife, her ex husband lost two brothers and his mom to covid early last month within a two week period. I thought that was about as bad as it could get until I read this shite. Damn...

I figured people in SWLA would know the story of the fire at least because it was all over SWLA for months.

I went to high school with a girl who lost her husband in an accident at work. Then she had a car accident a year later. Their kids are being raised by her sister

These kinds of stories make you see how good you have it.

Her last FB post from August is sad. It's about her saying how she wished she had gotten her covid vaccine.
