I would just let it go, too.

Tighter leash on the youngster, lesson learned.

Big lesson, and learned cheap.

So the girl admitted to lying about her age and the mom still wants to completely ruin this kid's life? What a bitch

At least the guy did the right thing once he found out.

Mom needs to have a talk with daughter and let it go.

I can only guess from whom the daughter learned her behavior.

Teen should go to jail. Lying about your age as a minor in a scenario that entrap someone as a statutory rapist, should be considered fraud and be punishable.

Mom needs to drop her bitching and do her best to console her daughter. I'll bet the daughter still wants and hopes the relationship will continue. Mom keeps her shite up and it will drive the guy further away or even worse, then she'll have to worry about stupid (maybe life threatening) actions by her daughter.

That's not a parenting nightmare. It sounds like since your friend wasn't a good parent, she now wants to ruin a young man's life to make it look like she's doing the right thing

Ruin someone's life over a breakup? Um, no.

The moms reaction surprised me, once all facts were out.

Kid skipping school is what tipped them off. Was leaving cell with a friend who would cover texts, kept locator on - point, wasn't far from where 20 yr old lived.

Mom thought kid was where supposed to be.
Pretty suave for teen...

They track their daughter's phone? I can see doing it in an emergency situation, but day in and day out is over the top
