Klick-klacks were badass, but they were like playing with some sort of ninja weapon.

Lead soldier casting set. Electric pot melted lead bars. Place the mold under the pot. Then pull the outer red handle to release molten lead into the mold. What could possibly happen.

I don't know if he used one of these, but I have three lead soldiers my grandfather and his brother made in the 1920's. They are actually pretty cool.

The soldiers were great. We made a bunch of them. If they were defective, broken or you got tired of them just melt them and start over. I think my brother still has a few of them.

Although pales to lawn darts, this toy would sling that football and if you hand was near the "arm" you'd feel it when it popped abruptly.

I still have a set of clackers. Bought them a few years ago to show off to the kids.

Has nothing to do with coddling. Lawsuits have eliminated stuff like this.

I had a toy car that shot sparks out of the back. It was like a zippo. The striker wheel was attached to the axle and the flints could be replaced. It was taken away from me when I generated enough sparks to make the shag carpet smolder.

Big Bang cannons. Mix carbide powder with water, add a spark for ignition and boom. Didn't take long to figure out you could make projectiles from aluminum foil. Buyin g one for my grand sons.

Came here to post this. Any list without this is incomplete.

You stood next to the hoop the other kid was throwing at!!!

Each dart weighed a pound or two.

I loved chemistry sets. I mixed some stuff that turned red blew up and painted the walls of my Dad's shop red. That was the last one I got.

Glow in the dark Nerf football

MY sisters and I added every glow in the dark item we could find into the mix, including my dad's glow in the dark fishing lures from his tackle-box.

We'd turn out the lights in the 2 story house and ambush each other around every corner.

Thank Goodness our dad was so mellow about stuff like that.
