Yeah, had one of these. Turned the thing over on my leg and peeled goo and skin off in a hurry. Great damn toy!

My brother made clackers in 1971 or so and sold them at his junior high. He poured the plastic into molds, drilled them out, tied the nylon cord. He made good money until one shattered, then my folks shut him down.

real samples of uranium (which is radioactive) and radium (which is a million times more radioactive than uranium).
Whoever wrote this clearly has no idea what he's talking about. Bananas are radioactive too, for example.
Now if he'd included a little about dosage and the type of radioactivity he might have had something.

I had a toy car that shot sparks out of the back. It was like a zippo. The striker wheel was attached to the axle and the flints could be replaced. It was taken away from me when I generated enough sparks to make the shag carpet smolder.
I had siblings with the cars that you would push along the floor real fast to "charge" them up so they would take off across the room.
Only it was more fun to charge the car and hold your finger on the wheel , preventing it from moving and terrorizing your sister's hair with it. Those things can seriously snag some hair and require some cutting to get them free.

Kids love sparks. I had a Wizzer top that made sparks, but sadly I think they were confined to the internals.
