That's staggering. Talk about trash.

Since February 2014 Beech Grove police have made 1,278 runs to the store resulting in 473 arrests.

"We are going down there three or four times a day for theft and other issues, and we just can't do that anymore," Buckley said.

Adding to Buckley's frustration is a shoplifting incident reported at the store Monday that evolved into a fatal crash when, authorities say, the suspect ran a red light and crashed into two vehicles while fleeing police. The accident killed one woman and left two of her family members seriously injured.

quote:

Punches traded between two women in the shampoo aisle of the Beech Grove Walmart came as a shock to millions of people when videos of the violent exchange appeared on YouTube.

But for Beech Grove Mayor Dennis Buckley, the incident was just the latest in a series of problems at a shopping center that he feels has gone from a minor annoyance to a public nuisance.

I think Indiana just surpassed Florida in trashiness.

It has a pill epidemic
Aids epidemic
shoplifting epidemic
obvious trash epidemic

A little off topic but I would've had a hard time not backhanding the shite out of the little kid in that video.

Indiana has a long way to go to catch up to Florida.

In the death incident, I don't believe police should be involved in a high speed chase over shoplifting.

Under the ordinance, Walmart could be deemed a public nuisance, Buckley explained. The store would be notified by police, and officers would have the discretion to issue a ticket to the business any time they are called to the store.

Violators would face a penalty of $2,500 and court fees. With nearly 500 police runs to the store so far this year, the tickets could quickly become costly.

Why don't they do this with people, as well? If you are deemed a public nuisance you pay a bigger fine and your own court fees.

JP did the same crap awhile back. Innocent people died.

Some numbnutted cop did the same thing by the outlet malls, bit only the shoplifter died.

You're 100% correct.

Beech Grove:

The racial makeup of the city was 91.5% White, 3.2% African American, 0.3% Native American, 0.7% Asian, 2.1% from other races, and 2.1% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.2% of the population.

Just another reason why I haven't stepped foot in a Wal-Mart in over a year and don't plan on ever going back.
I use the heck out of my Amazon Prime membership so I never have to enter these wild game preserves.
