What does this have to do with an airline hiring attractive young women as stewardesses? It's good business.

IDK if you realize this, but when dudes on here say that they want to frick a "______ chick", they really do mean that they want to frick a girl with that quality only for that reason.
ETA: That's not fetishism. That's being a dude.

I already said I am not a Singapore woman, nor do I relate at all with what the fuss was about.

In all seriousness, what bothers me more than anything is the tone and the emphasis. Yes, men should help with the housework (and close to 50-50 if it's a dual income home), you need to be respectful toward women, you should try to provide emotional support and you should take the bonds of matrimony seriously. All of that is called being responsible and being a man.
What always annoys me however is people who want to advance one group over another, and in the case of the 77% stat, use misleading statistics to support their arguments. Someone posted a set of pie charts about male problems earlier. There's very little discussion of them, and also little discussion about the "academic gap" with men doing worse than women in school.
If we want a society of focusing on improving individuals rather than improving groups, those are conversations we need. But if you want to focus on just helping your little group, well then that's where "be a feminist" lists like these emerge. It's ridiculous.

Um, actually a lot of Asian women are really freaked out by Asian fetishism.
I'm sure. Actual fetishism based on cultural stereotypes (realistic or not) is something to be freaked out about. But of course just being attracted to a type of woman does not equal fetishism. Feminists really knock on white men dating Asian women, and I'd put good money down on the fact that they're not concerned about fetishism.

Maybe. In that case, then some of your Asian friends have just been with assholes.

Here's some quotes that aren't mine if you're confused. Don't confuse the messenger with the originator... I am only stating what I read.
I don't really think it's that sexist.
As far as Asian culture goes, I think the surgeries these otherwise unattractive women get to fit more into an Asian-American stereotype is much worse.

Despite her success, critics complain the Singapore Girl concept is sexist, outmoded and largely intended to serve male passengers' fantasies of desirable, subservient Oriental women.
The Straits Times once quoted a Qantas Airways chairman referring to the campaign as "massage parlour in the sky ads".

I can agree with this if it's not actually shared with the woman. To have a sexual bucket list is not that strange.

this is true and does amount to dehumanizing the person to some extent... but it is really no different than wanting a guy wanting to sleep with a red head or woman wanting to sleep with a black guy when you think about it.

A lot of the sick shite I think will never be shared with a female.

Oh, well, some critics have said . . .
Funny, one of those critics happens to be the chairman of a rival airline. I'm sure he is not biased at all.

And this is where we come full circle. That is what they're "fighting" for.. brushing off something that women have an issue with and saying "boys will be boys".
If I was a man, I'd be offended that you're grouping me with someone who has fricking as Asian on their bucket list.
* About to leave work. Every time I explain the other side as I see it, it gets confused for my opinion. So be aware.. explaining why some feminists think the way they do doesn't necessarily mean I feel that way..
People on this website tend to confuse that.

that's a load of crap, US women suspect that just because these women are well groomed and attractive, it must be fake, it's sad going through the crew line in customs and looking all all of the "fake" foreign airline flight attendant crews, and then to look at ours come waddling in like a bunch of milk cows going to the barn to be milked

Those surgeries are not to fit an Asian-American stereotype. I assume you're talking about the mainly prevalent S. Korean surgeries where the women have their eyelids operated on (and nose jobs as well). Those standards are developed there in Korean society.

Boo fricking Hoo. News flash ladies. Every single one of you is seen as a sexual object to every male on the planet. It's nature, get over it. If you're lucky then some guy will find you attractive enough to stick around for a while until he eventually forms a real connection with you and starts spending time with you for reasons other than sex. But your sex appeal is the only thing that draws men to you, and if you lose it will be the first thing to drive him away.

Huh? Tons of Asian women have surgeries to look perfect.
It's a gift commonly given to young women in South Korea.

Boys will be boys. There are biological distinctions between men and women.

Anyone offended by a guy wanting to have sex with an Asian girl isn't worth wasting time over, man or woman.

One of the worst results of today's lazy teachers needing medical help to teach "hyper" boys. Boys are more hyper than girls in general. If and when I have kids, unless my son is completely off the rails, there is no way in hell I'm putting him on Ritalin or some other similar drug. We had plenty of boys in my schools that were problem children. The solution wasn't medication. It was discipline. They turned out fine, me included.
The problem is that because of boys' rambunctious nature, teachers are more apt to cater to girls at a young age because they're easier. This is human nature.
Don't believe me? Ask your teacher friends. Ask a teacher you know that isn't your son's or daughter's teacher since he/she will probably lie. I know there has been an article written on this in the past five years, but I'd have to drag it up from the depths of the internet.

If a woman was a man then she wouldn't have that feministic view and would be happy to frick for the fun of it.
It's begging the question and that's why I laugh at a lot of the "gender role" complaints.
