Lots of old guys buy these and put 10k on 'em and about 17 coats of wax.
OP could buy a fast car that hasn't had the guts slung out of it if he looks a bit.
Don't buy mine.

Yea and there's plenty of them for sale out there. Not many of them have ever been asked to do much if I had to guess.

My Sequoia has 387 hp. Mines a little over the 50k price but I'm pretty sure you cod get an SR5 for under 50k

The camaro is no different than the Dodge products you label red neck and ghetto.
Same stigma.

A lot of guys track them on the reg, but a lot of guys buy them as a reward after they've got the kids through school, etc.
Hard to beat them for reliability and go fastness.

Don't care. Now have a '68 and 2010 Camaro SS. Give zero shits what OT thinks. I drive the '68. Wife drives the 2010. Just for fun cars not our daily drivers. 'Murica.

For $50k or less? Because that's the criteria.

A very lightly used C6Z06 vette is the very obvious answer in that price range IMO. It far outperforms everything else in that price slot.
What I would do^^
My choices would be
C6Z06
Brand new Evo + power mods
New Boss mustang

300+ HP cars, what do you have or would get? quote: Used M3 This is what I'd get. I'd look for a used e46 that's already been through the subframe and vanos repairs.
I have a 2002 M3 and it hands down is the best car I've ever had. The subframe you speak of I've never had an issue with nor the vanos, but I maintain it according to the book and it's just a good machine. The redline at 8000 rpm is fun to play with and the only shortcomings in the car from my standpoint were solved by UUV short shift kit, buy the extra metal cross support, a clutch stop. The first owner installed Eisenmann exhaust which is cool but expensive. Plus gas mileage is good. I have several choices in my garage of more expensive and modern cars, but the M3 seems to get first nod. My 2008 911 has sat up for over a month just because the M3 is easy to deal with and a lot of fun.

I've tried liking vettes forever, but after the thrill of the rumble and cool engine wears off you're stuck with a rattling car with bland plastic interior that smells of cheap so I couldn't pull the trigger to purchase. The new Vette I absolutely love, and it's a bargain compared to similar vehicles. Drove one which seemed to be a whole lot tighter. All vettes get great gas mileage as well, which is a must for me.
