I was 23 and the wife at the time was 18. We were married 8 months after meeting. Working on 36 years together now.

I was messing around with an 18 year old when I was 21. It could be that she was probably just stupid (and by probably, I mean definitely 
), but I couldn't stand actually spending time with her. It was all about the hooking up (which was worth it at the time). There was just nothing in common and we were only a little over 3 years apart. At that age, the difference between 3 years is pretty big in my opinion. By the time I was 25, I was putting a down payment on a house and getting engaged. I couldn't imagine dealing with the stuff I was dealing with when I was 19 (by proxy of my SO).

I'm 34. I had this girl that is 19 pursue me. At the time, I didn't know she was 19. I thought she was in her mid 20s. By the time she told me her age, I had already developed feelings for her and didn't care. Too bad her parents did, and we broke up.
I now have two girls that are after me. One is 19 and the other is 20 or 21. I'm cautious about whether I want to give either one a chance, because of what happened with the last one that young.

It's all from one's point of view and the people involved. I was a completely different person at 24 than I was at 19.
But, as a man I'd enjoy it personally.
I would be less pleased if it were my sister/daughter.

I'd date a 19 year old at any age. It just depends on the maturity of the girl, where you are in life, what you want out the relationship, expectations, and compatibility.

It's fine. I feel sorry for the 24 year old, there is a huge maturity gap between those ages and he would have to put with alot of bullshite.
