This shite is ALL OVER my FB feed from Friends/Family back home in NY... I have Family in Syracuse so I made sure they're aware as the facility is about 2 hours NE of SYR.

Yeah. No way that sends the wrong message to all the other prisoners.

Anybody who says let them go is beyond stupid and I'm pretty sure that poster was just joking but I don't get how killing a cop is worse than killing a normal citizen. Any murder is terrible but a cop dying does not make it more tragic. Why do people act like cop killers are any worse than killers of average citizens. Can't we just say if you kill innocent people you are scum period.

IDK, they seem to have been rehabilitated.

Hell, they're a lot more dedicated than most subcontractors.

For the win.

I have family in Lake George, they posted it on their FB.

Though most likely they went north. Canada is right there and super easy to cross into.

Nobody knows how they got the power tools.

They speculated on CBS that the power tools likely came from subs doing renovation work on the old prison building.

I said "and one of them was a cop." Never said it was more or less tragic.

IMO a cop killer often is worse b/c that is a person who is likely more dangerous and willing to do worse things. Seems like the effort to catch a cop killer goes way beyond what you see for normal homicide (or at least media coverage is more).

That was my first, well maybe third, thought on this. How did they keep the tools plugged in and if they were battery powered, how did they keep the batteries charged??

Oh and did they cover the hole w a Raquel Welch poster?
Tried to link the poster fellas, sorry - I'm on my phone...

This escape was so delicately and elaborately planned that I doubt their escape to wherever they're hiding isn't either.

They could have crossed into Canada and are headed to the Yukon as we speak for all we know through the the most low profile ways of travel possible. If they have money or enough connections, they probably have a ride waiting for them sonewhere to a non extradition country.

I would bet they aren't together anymore either. Easier to blend in when there's only one person.

Someone who has already killed a cop as opposed to a regular civilian shows the level they are willing to go in order to stay free. Nobody has said its more or less tragic

Not a huge surprise when someone escapes from prison, based on the kind of person who's drawn to working in those places. Prisons are shitholes, and the only reason someone chooses to work there is they're too lazy or stupid to find another job, or they're on a power trip. I read that they're investigating a female employee who may have helped them.

These guys will get caught, though. They always do. And they're so vicious that nobody's gonna think they're misunderstood antiheroes, so they're unlikely to get help from random strangers.

Not at all. But prisons tend to attract the dregs. On both sides of the bars.
