Why do the idiots keep saying the coaches and front office admitted it?

They keep playing the "they admitted it when they took their punishment lying down" card? Anybody who understands how this works knows the coaches lied down was because they don't have a union protecting and standing up for them. The players do and they're making the stand. Everything else is spin and misinformation. And they just keep spitting that bull shite out.

Stop reading that shite. It will make you feel better The other fans want the saints to be guilty. They heard what they wanted to hear. Hence the tweet by Drew.

Exactly. They only hear what they want to hear. Take solace in the fact that they will be devastated after each game the Saints win this year.

I can honestly say that I haven't worn any Saints gear since the news broke. Not because I am embarassed or think what they may have done was wrong but because I don't want to talk to random morons about it.

I had a similar experience when an old man started spouting about the Saints are thugs. He asked if I was a fan bacause I had a gold Saints on. I told him I just bought the hat and became a Saints fan because I like to see people get hurt and killed in football games. He stopped talking!

I feel they admitted to pay for performance - nothing more. It's looking pretty solid (especially with Shanle's admission) there was a pay for performance. It seems the NFL got giddy and thought they'd extrapolate this admission into something they could show as evidence of 'effort' to make the NFL safer in future suits.

Everything they have put forth publicly, however, has been a pay to injure theme. I would love nothing more than to see Ginsberg/Vilma body slam Goodell in their suit. I think Goodell knows he's screwed and that's why he blew a gasket with Ginsberg the other day.

I think it is fairly well established now as fact that there was a Pay for Performance program.

It also seems pretty obvious to me that within that program were payoffs for big hits, which included "cart offs", "knockouts" and "whacks". It is not a big leap to assume that a "cart off" very likely meant someone on the other team got hurt.

Doesn't take a genius to connect the dots to "Pay for Injury".

It is a leap, but a very small leap, and intent is absolutely irrelevant. Someone got hurt, and someone got paid for the hit. It's really pretty simple. The want to defend the home team runs very, very deep. I get that, but anyone who thinks that the Saints front office and these 4 players are completely innocent of any wrongdoing has his head buried very deeply in the sand.

Simple? Really? So, you are on record saying the voices of the Saints are lieing about the fact there wasn't such a program? What evidence might you show us to somewhat prove your case, LJBurton?

To quote Joe Vitt, "The bylaws of the National Football League supersede the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights."

I don't have to prove my case, Bayou. Neither does Goodell. That was the whole point of my post. If Goodell believes there was "Pay for Injury", since he has absolute authority as granted to him under the latest CBA, then that is all that matters. The players ceded that authority to him.

Look, I completely agree that Goodell is way out of line with these punishments, but that's an entirely different topic.

re: Why do the idiots keep saying the coaches and front office admitted it?
Because

quote:

New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton and general manager Mickey Loomis took responsibility for a bounty program in which the National Football League team's players received money for injuring opponents. "We acknowledge that the violations disclosed by the NFL during their investigation of our club happened under our watch," the two men said in a statement sent by the team.

A few of hundreds of links to the admittance.

No one here is arguing against that. You basically just created a false argument just so you could put it down.

While he has the right to suspend the players we also have the right to call him out on it

How did you get to that from this

You must be the genius, right? Connect the dots for me - I'm dumb.

In light of the continuing shoddy evidence, it's all that most haters can say now.

I already connected them for you. You just chose not to follow along.

Here it is one more time ... try to read more slowly, that might help ...

The Saints had a Pay for Performance program. Even the Homers admit this.

The term Performance included things like forced fumbles, interceptions, big hits and "cart offs".

"Cart off" very clearly means that the opposing player was removed from the field of play by a Cart -- meaning said opposing player was injured sufficient to need assistance in getting off of the field.

Thus, players received extra pay for big hits which resulted in injuries to opposing players.
I can't make it any clearer than this.
