You win.

I'm a baby.

Our roster is filled with aged over the hill WR's.

So the offense struggling falls 100% on Brees?

Of course not but he's a big deal. Improving the o-line and running game helps, largely unproven receiving weapons probably won't help.

Unproven may not help. Could be true.

Glass half full or half empty.

Your a half empty guy.

Being that CSP and staff didn't draft or FA a WR I'm inclined to the half full.

Lets hope CSP is right.

Just don't get your hopes up about Toon, he's a bust that the Saints can't let go just yet.

Outside of Cooks, we're pretty terrible.

Yeah because any receiver in the league can get 900 yards.

We have a coach that is an offensive master mind and the passing game is essential to his game plan. He didn't see the need to draft a WR or go after any in FA because he believed he had the tools he needed in house already. If you actually think he is going into the year without the tools he needs to have a successful passing game then you are stupider than you look. But of course as an NFL Coach who has won a Super Bowl he doesn't know near as much as some idiots on Saints Talk.

Guess this is like what they said about Brees and the Saints in 2006, when Brees had an “old” veteran WR in Joe Horn, with “no talent” (including the then-rookie Marques Colston from Hofstra) at the WR position other than Horn. How did that work out?

It worked out well but that doesn't mean anybody who said before that season that our receiving core was either over the hill or unproven was incorrect.
Just saying "Well Sean Payton likes it" doesn't mean it's not a gamble. I hope it works out this year but I have reservations. I'm not sure how that's so questionable and offensive to some.

Saunders isn't making this team, he's got one skill and that's returning kicks. The Saints have Murphy, Cooks, Morgan and Spiller capable of returning kicks.

Either Jones or Coleman will be the Saints #3 WR after camps over. Both look good this off-season

I agree.

I'd also be surprised if Joe Morgan makes the first 53 man roster. Like someone else pointed out, he may be added during the season as injuries happen.

I think Josh Morgan, Toon, Jones and Coleman all have a better chance than Joe Morgan or Saunders, although I expect they'll only be able to keep 3 of the 4.

I'm more worried about our unproven (Tim Lelito) and possibly over the hill (Jahri Evans) guards. If the offense can't run the ball or protect Brees consistently, we will see the same problems on offense as last season. Having Unger at center helps but the stability he brings at center will be negated if the two players on side of him struggle. All three have to be able to feed off each other to be successful.
