Taking a crack at our wide reciever depth chart

Since there really is no news as this is pretty much the dead time for the NFL. I decided to take a crack at the WR depth chart. Tell what you guys think and what yours would be.
1. Colston (Mr. reliable)
2. Cooks (could really be 1b)
3. Toon (not that he's shown much but we've at least seen some of what Toon can do)
4. Coleman (I really feel that his size will help and he seems to have his head on straight and have learned the offense by now. Could pass Toon by as soon as the end of camp)
5. Jones (I feel like its a race for the 5th slot between Jones and Joe Morgan as both bring similar strengths speed wise. I just don't know about Joe Morgan's health still.
6. Joe/Josh Morgan

I truly believe Toon was brought in to be Colstons replacement and that's why he hasn't seen much playing time. I think that finally changes this year. Toon has been on the roster and not ever sent to the PS for a reason.

This could very well be true. In I hope it is!

I don't get the high expectations for Joe Morgan. He really hasn't played much football in the last 2 years. My depth chart looks like:
Cooks
Colston
Toon
Jones
Coleman
Joe Morgan
Josh Morgan
The wildcard is Jalen Saunders. If Murphy doesn't impress as returner, they almost have to keep Saunders .

We aren't keeping 7 WRs guys

The most I see they keep is 5 unless they keep saunders for returning which was a good point. I also do not see why everyone is so high on Joe Morgan as Jones is younger, not coming off injury and really has the same skill set.

Never said we were. I was just agreeing with that order.

R Wayne should be at least number 3 or 4.

I'm not normally one to get all pissy and question our FO decisions, but if two of these guys don't turn into a dependable starter (in the context of a #3 and #4) I'm going to be super pissed that James Jones is just sitting there in free agency.
eta: I should rephrase that in the sense that I mean once we see them in camp, and if he is signed by someone else, then the receivers don't pan out.

The final depth chart will be 5 WRs and possibly a 6th as a returner. Only 100% locks are Colston and Cooks but I feel Toon is about 90% safe. After that you have a free for all for two spots.
I'm not going to count any of Joe Morgan, Josh Morgan, Brandon Coleman, or Seantavious Jones out and I wouldn't be shocked if one or two UDFAs stand out (but would likely be PS bound).
Coleman and Jones both have good size and if they really worked on their hands and routes they will likely earn a spot.
Joe Morgan had his problems but Payton gave him the vote of confidence that he's worked through it. He has flashed big time potential and would be great in our offense.
Josh Morgan was a catch machine in OTAs and has played well enough in the league but I want to see him do it in the games
Toon averaged about 3 catches a game over the last 6 weeks as the third or fourth receiver (which in our offense is usually the fifth option).
Right now I'd go with this order:
Colston
Cooks
Toon
Jones
Joe Morgan
Josh Morgan
Coleman
Saunders
Harris
etc.

Cooks is amazing, but i dont really think he'll ever be #1 because of his size. A #1 should be at least 6'2 on up. I know Steve Smith did it for years, but that dont mean it can happen again. Its like saying Darren Sproles will be a #1. He's more of a solid #2. You need someone who can jump up with those CB's and fight for the balll in the air.

I like your list. Only thing I would change is Josh Morgan above Joe Morgan. As petty as it may seem...I think we need a legit veteran WR that can do his job. Joe Morgan is good for a 70 yard pass about every 4 games. He's a great deep threat, but Cooks can go deep...Toon and Jones also have very good speed. Coleman might not be a burner, but his size and length will allow him to stretch the field if needed imo. Basically what I'm saying is that I hope our WR's have developed to a point where we don't need a one trick pony like Joe Morgan. Also, Colston can get open anywhere against the zone defense...he might be old, but he knows how to get open.

wow. Kind of a generalization considering how talented he is. He has everything you want in a WR to catch 100 balls every year and go over 1,000 yards. He hasn't done it yet...but I'd be surprised if he didn't.

These guys disagree:
Steve Smith
Antonio Brown(5'10)
TY Hilton(5'9)
Desean Jackson(5'10)
Wes Welker(5'9)
Randall Cobb(5'10)
Greg jennings(5'11)
