Throwing 50 times that game probably has something to do with them losing by 30. You tend to throw when you are losing.

I remember a similar game/situation that Ivory had a breakout game. Granted it was in December and it was cold, still bad weather and he went beastmode. Lets hope Robinson can do it too.

We've won a Super Bowl since then.

It doesn't matter. That 06 game was lost by the defense. Those bums, with Fred Thomas leading the way, couldn't stop Rex Grossman.

so the offense scores 14 points and had 4 turnovers but it was the defenses fault?

It's alright we lost that game. It was part of the maturation process that led to the Super Bowl victory IMO.

Eventually the Saints have to deal with it and cope with playing in poor conditions. Can't win a road playoff game, can't win when it's raining, can't win when it's below X degrees, blah blah blah. This year's Super Bowl is going to be outdoors... in New York... in February. It's not going to be 65 degrees and sunny.

Once the defense started giving up big plays the entire offensive game plan went out the door. You fall behind, you tend rely on the passing game and mistakes will eventually happen. We were down 16-7 at the half and Reggie Bush scored the 88 TD on the first possession in the 2nd half, making it 14-16. After that the defense started giving up chunks, including a 33 yard TD in a 5 play 85 yard drive. We fell behind 25-14 and it was over after that. Offense was responsible for 3 turnovers, two of which Brees committed after the game had already been lost. So yes, I'd say the defense was at fault. Just like it was in 07 and 08 and majority of the losses under Sean Payton.

Billy Cundiff missed a FG late in the third that would have given them an 17-15 lead. It wasn't until after that play that the defense gave in.

So is it his fault? That douchebag never makes clutch kicks.

Also, Michael Lewis fumbled a kick return in the first half.

As much as I hate Atl, this game in Chicago would give me a huge woody if we just destroy that team. I'll never forgive those classless assholes for the banners the game we played there following Katrina. frick Chicago.
