Should have targeted Jeremy Hill this year.

Hill was gone by our pick.

We also had more pressing needs than a RB.

that might change for next year's draft.

Assuming Cooks pans out and Toon isn't smoke and mirrors, WR is now ok. Our DBs should be good; hell most of our defense will be for depth only.

A LOT can happen in a year, but we really might be looking BPA for next season's draft.

My way-too-early prediction is: PT finally retires, we let Ingram go to someone who wants another Marshawn Lynch-type back, we keep Robinson and draft Gurley, who will restore the glamour of the RB position in the league. That'll happen. Unless it doesn't.

Pretty much yeah

RB will be a midrounder at best imo.

Would like another LB though

Don't know what your definition of "big time" is; it seems most of the RBs making an impact are late rounders or UDFAs.

This team should not draft a RB before the 3rd round...unless he comes with a money back guarantee.

With such a deep backfield, why in the world would we even think to target/draft Jeremy Hill and his parking lot fights?

I'm pretty sure Payton said they were going to get Hill in the 2nd if he fell a few more spots. Pisses me off. That dude is going to tear it up in the NFL.

Hill might be good; he might be bad...who the hell knows until the ball is kicked off. If Payton really wanted him, it would have cost less than the 3rd we gave up to go get Cooks to move up in the 2nd. He, evidently, didn't covert Hill or the RB position that much.

I do think Hill will be a beast but getting a young corner with potential and size was more important for the team right now. I'm hoping P-rob will be better with a better pass rush but who knows. Plus with Champ's age and losing Greer, having that depth will be important.
