#Eagles won't deal Brandon Graham + a draft pick for Cooks. If they were, they could have done it a week ago. If they do now, Howie blinked.

Graham is kind of meh. First round pick would be better. He's been in the league for 7 years and started 39 games. Averaging 4 sacks per year. If they're entertaining graham + 1st then great, otherwise HOLD OUT FOR A FIRST

Yeah, kind of hard to make trades before you're allowed to.

I had to look up Brandon Graham's stats because I didn't think he was some amazing player.

What am I missing here? I mean, he's ok, but nothing amazingly special.

A blogger getting news from another blogger who doesn't even know trades aren't allowed until the new league year starts.

Yeah not buying this shite.

Nope. Give me #14 now, unless they wanna throw Graham in with #14.

Saints really need to be patient with this. They hold all the cards. Let someone strike out in the FA WR market and they'll overspend for cooks. Don't play the ace up your sleeve for a black Paul Kruger and a second or third round pick

Not reporting anything, just sharing the tweet I happened to see.

For what it's worth, Brandon Graham has been a sweetheart of NFL writers for many years. I remember Bill Barnwell and Robert Mays used to talk him up on the Grantland podcast. He's one of those pass rush specialists who doesn't get a ton of snaps, and no one knows why. Could be similar to Galette before his breakout season.

Which they base on a vague Ian Rapoport tweet that doesn't really say that.

If you like PFF, this was their 2016 pass rusher rankings

quote:

4. Brandon Graham, DE, Eagles
2016 PFF pass-rush grade: 87.5

Brandon Graham has been the league’s most underrated pass-rusher for years now, and is finally starting to get some of the recognition he deserves. Graham has 30 total pressures on the season and four sacks across six games. The relative lack of sacks was always the bedrock of the criticism Graham received, so if he continues to notch them this season, he may continue to receive the plaudit. Even if they dry up, though, he is one of the league’s most consistent players when it comes to generating pressure on the quarterback, regardless of which side of the line or from what stance he is rushing from.

Or just trade for a first round pick and sign this guy
quote:

14. Dont’a Hightower, LB, Patriots
2016 PFF pass-rush grade: 77.7

The first player on the list that doesn’t play either edge rusher or on the D-line’s interior, Dont’a Hightower is the best blitzer in the game. This season, he has three sacks and 12 total pressures from only 54 blitzes, and a year ago he totaled 24 pressures on the blitz. Hightower has an excellent ability to hide his approach before bursting through the line gap with the kind of strength and speed that blockers can’t counter, and it’s a valuable part of New England’s pass-rush.

was reading through a bunch of "brandin cooks" tweets, lots of eagles fans are pretty high on brandon graham and aren't too fond of trading him for what that's worth. They like him a lot as a player.

I do wonder why he doesn't play more. Like what's the catch. The sack numbers are odd as well, I know they don't always tell the whole story but you still expect a pass rush specialist to have a career high better than 6.5 sacks
