Plenty of competition in camp this year.
Last year the Saints kept 5 running backs on the 53 heading into the season.
I would assume we keep that number this year.
Assuming Mark Ingram, Kamara, Boston Scott are safe

Actually we normally do keep 4/5 on the main roster:
AK / Ing / Lasco / Edmunds
So we can technically keep all 5 for 4 games then have to release one when Ingram is able to return.
Which means we may carry only 2 TE's

Could be, but I thinks it’s more about depth and competition going into camp.
Neither West or Vereen signed for too much money so I don’t think any role in the offense is guaranteed to them.

I like Vereen a lot more than West. West is more like a poor mans Tim Hightower. Vereen is a decent runner and great at pass catching. I think CSP values the latter more

Ingram wouldn't count the first 4 games, and word is Lasco is gone (likely was regardless with Scott on board).
I'd say Edmunds is likely safe too with how important he is to special teams.
If we keep 4 to start it'd likely be:
Kamara
Scott
Edmunds
And then one of West, Vereen, and Williams. Add one of them if we keep 5 to start.
Then one/two of those same 3 will get cut when Ingram comes back.
