I haven't been to a game in a few years. What is the going rate for tickets. Specifically the Dallas game. What can I expect to pay for the upper deck seats. Can you get a better deal outside the dome before the game? Thanks!

I'm a season ticket holder since 1998, but used to buy outside the Dome from little old ladies and families for really cheap even back to the early 1990's. Now, I'll have a 6 or more black guys asking me if I have extra ticket to sell as I walk to the Dome. Then there are another 4 or so who ask if I need tickets as I get closer to the Dome. What are they doing? Is it as simple as getting me to sell low and then they resell higher or is something else going on?

According to Fever Pitch, those groups are doing the exact opposite of what they say. Trifling bastards.

They buy your ticket with counterfeit cash and then turn and sell the ticket it to joe Sunday for real cash. Free money

I don't mean to hijack, but I haven't been back to the dome since the Champions Square construction. I'll be in town for a short stint this weekend; are there enough things worth seeing to head that way?

they have a good system. Further out they have guys looking for tickets. Then they have guys ob bikes who bring the cheaply bought tickets closer to the game to sell them.

Not trying to be racist, but don't buy from shabbily dressed black dudes outside the stadium. Now usually there tickets are legit, but I know some people sell their tickets to these guys, and then have print out tickets, making their original tickets useless, thinking they are just screwing over the scalpers, and not thinking about the person who is the scalpee.

But their system works great for them. Signs with "I need tickets" guys riding back and forth all day. They never drop their prices either.
I don't personally buy extra tickets, but occasionally we have someone come with our group who needs tix.

I assume the ticket office will scan the ticket to make sure it's real? I have done this at tiger stadium when buying from those shady folks.

Sure but good luck finding the dude again. I bought tickets from one of these guys in 09 and told him I'd buy them for what he wanted if he walked to the counter with me and my friend. Once one of us got in with one of his tickets the other paid him for both.

Not sure what you mean by "head that way". It is an area right next to the dome where they have a band and food/drink booths. Pretty cool set up, but you are still paying top $$ for the food and drinks. Free to enter though.
