I think the signing of Tate gives them a strong presence at #2 that they can improve their CB. They are HORRID in the secondary and that is an understatement.

I think the Tate signing is being massively overrated. He's an average WR at best.

They do have an awful secondary though.

He's an average WR which is more than what detroit had before. At best he's a #2, which he is next to megatron.

The reason I think they go CB 1st and WR 2nd is because how deep WR is this draft. Don't be surprised if they pick Gilbert/Dennard in the 1st and go Matthews in the 2nd. That'd be scary to deal with.

You think he's going to fall past pick 18?

I pray every night that the Jets don't make that happen or this board will never hear the end of it

Minnesota decided not to take a terrible quarterback for a change. I call that progress

I don't expect you to. You drafted teddy bridgewater for them when the vikings are continually jerking off 2nd and 3rd round qb prospects day in and day out.

Hey everyone. To speed things up, let's get our picks out, and then edit your post later with the write ups.

11.

With the 11th pick in the NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select...
Anthony Barr, OLB, UCLA

quote:

The Titans were 21st in the NFL in sacks last season and must improve in this area. The Titans are moving to a 3-4 front under defensive coordinator Ray Horton, which creates the need for pass rushers. Barr has the athleticism and speed to be a force at the OLB spot for the Titans.

12.

With the 12th pick in the NFL Draft, the New York Giants select...
Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M.

quote:

The Giants have needs on the offensive line and defensive line, but this is too good of a value to pass on. The Giants struggled to protect Eli Manning, but they also need another wide receiver to play physical and get separation, Mike Evans can do that. This adds a much needed weapon to the Giants offense.

Giants would have a nice group of WRs with Evans, Randle, Cruz, etc.

I like the picks so far in this mock. All pretty reasonable.

Evans is a good fit for need. I think him more likely gone by then tho. If so, I think Ebron works the same way for them- maybe even better positionally.

I get what you're saying, but it's a mock draft. They're going to take a QB. It's their biggest need. The only thing that trumps that is a can't-miss talent... Mack or Clowney.

That was my logic anyway. They need help at safety, LB, and guard. Corner would come after that. They look a little better there after adding Munnerlyn in FA.

Agreed. Houston fans will burn the city down if they draft Robinson first, though.

I think it's a reasonable pick.
