Why would they draft somebody at #1 overall for him to play RT for 4 years and basically their whole rookie contract?

GRob is noted as possibly a better RT in his style of play.

True, but there are no trades in this mock draft. I said before that it would be the case irl for them to trade back if they weren't going to take Clowney.

The top of most mock drafts are the same. I wanted to do something different.

Yes I understand this, I never said he wouldn't be a good player. I just dont think you take a RT with the #1 overall pick. Now if they want to trade down and take him, fine.

meh... edge rushers can come from anywhere and if that RT can improve your run game that much more and help arian foster and thus helping your qb situation.... i don't have a problem with it.

The teams that took Keyshawn Johnson, Kevin Hardy, and Simeon Rice would have taken Jonathan Ogden in retrospect.

Also, Orlando Pace turned out to be a good #1 pick. Arguably the 2nd or 3rd best #1 pick in the last 20 years. No, I'm not exaggerating.

I gotta feeling Giants go qb with 2nd round pick... a Grappolo or a Carr...

Giants use their "Nascar" formation a lot which uses four down pass-rushing defensive linemen.

Carr is gone already and is Garoppolo really worth this high of a second rounder?

Meh, still think he's got potential and can do well with the right coaching. I like him better than any of the remaining 4-3 OLBs or DEs from a prospect standpoint

I'm not too high on Crichton, I'd say if I had to switch it out I was debating Demarcus Lawrence. But again the pick I made was almost solely on potential and the hope that if he can't make it as an OLB he can transition to a good DE in the 4-3
