The secondary has come a long way from being a weakness. Now it could be a strength and I'm excited to see how it looks.

Any other team with this WR corps would be in a crisis but we have Drew Brees that can make any receiver look good.

Linebackers are a question mark.

Colston was good then, Colston is old and terrible now. Toon shouldn't be in the nfl.

Find me a WR who will continually run up in the middle of the field knowing he will get bone-crunching hits and still catch the ball.

Colston also will replace Jimmy Graham's seam routes in the middle.

I have a feeling one of Toon, Saunders, Coleman, or Jones will step up. It's really not that much of a stretch.

Colston, Moore, Henderson, and Meachem.

They weren't garbage then. Cooks is the only WR we have now that might've taken a snap from the 2009 version of those guys.

He's breaking down physically so we shouldn't count on that.

SIAP, what about Denarius Moore? Always liked him in Oakland considering what he had to work with in terms of the WR corps and QB.

Yeah no one knew who Moore was until he started balling out for us.

That's not to say we can put anyone there and be successful. People saying that are out of there minds. But we have guys that have potential who haven't been given a chance.

People are still also greatly exaggerating Colston's demise. His targets have been being sucked away by Graham. He can easily get 100+ catches for 1200+ yards and 10+ tds if we stand pat at WR.

And Cooks was on pace for a damn fine season for any receiver, much less a rookie who missed part of the offseason because of school rules.

We just need to third guy to be a complement like Moore was most of his years.

Watson had damn good numbers before coming here to back up Jimmy amd Hill is on the rise.

Ingram caught 20 passes last year as the third receiving back. Cadet may not be back to suck touches away this year. And Spiller definitely has 80 catches potential in this offense.

Our passing game will be more than fine even if we stand pat. If out running game and defense pick up like they should, anything even in the top 10 for passing will be more than enough.

And that's exactly what they looked at. We've been at least around top 5 passing since Payton has been here yet we only have one ring. Time to try something new.

C'mon man. We all love Colston but his days of putting big numbers like that are long gone.

100 catches may be a stretch, but he had 60 catches, 900 yards, and 5 TD's last year. That's while playing with Graham, Brees running for his life, and dropping about 15 passes. Stranger things have happenned.

If the saints add one of the top WRs or a guy like strong plus one of the in house guys stepping up,things all of asudden look really solid.

Lol, Colston had an off year of 900 yards. I'm glad he will be going across the middle more. He needs to build more yards before we retire his jersey.

payton will grab one in the draft. you can take that to the bank. NFW is he counting on the others to step up to help colston and cooks. NFW.

Yeah if 900 yards is an off year then there are a lot of terrible good WRs out there.

Colston's had less targets than Graham every year starting in 2011. But he has still been second or third. With Graham, Sproles, PT, and Stills gone he will be top dog (unless Cooks passes him but that would be a great thing).

Even bigger than total targets have been the goal line targets, which everyone can agree Graham had been sucking almost all of those up from everyone else. Colston can still do that.

His numbers have been similar to Jerry Rice. He had key drops and fumbles last year, but hopefully he will shine this year. By far, still a great player on and off the field.

Keep being the Silent Storm, Colston.

Yeah Rice had a stretch of two years at about 800 yards and under 76 catches. He followed that up with two years at 1100+ yards and over 82 catches.

Maybe 100+ was a bit much but I can see him getting at least 85 catches and over 1000 yards with at least 8 tds. I still think he has potential for more than that though.

colston takes as many hard hits as anybody in the game. I'm not sure how he's lasted this long

I want to be optimistic that he'll be a primary contributor but I'm not sure if you are building a team you can count on that
