Concluding with another agreement here.

Like I said hope they go 16-0 and win another super bowl. I think it will be cool to see Peterson run in a Saints uniform. But living and dying on Sundays or Monday or Thursdays and sometimes on Saturdays is laughable to me now. Just my opinion.

I feel sorry for people that take a random post on here so seriously. I got 4 kids bro, my wife and sons watch with me, daughters (no pics) don't care for it. I'm just messing around

TBH, I do not follow as closely as I did before we won a SB. I think winning that game, combined with Goodell, allowed me to let go a little bit. I honestly did not think it would ever happen. I still enjoy the games, but between finally winning one, family obligations, and age, I have let go a bit.

My interest started waning a bit after bounty gate. The helpless feeling of being totally screwed was a major turn off for me and I've never gotten back into it like I was before.

I truly despise Goodell and I'm not a fan of the safety rules.

My opinion is the NFL has peaked and is going to start a slow decline like baseball did. Football will always be around but it's total dominance of the last 25 years will be diminished.

Owners got to greedy.

But maybe all that's bullshite and it truly is just life and getting older. I'm more interested in reading about the stock market half the time than saints news these days.

This is exactly how I feel about LSU. As the team continues to trend farther and farther away from competing for national championships, I've been thinking more and more about how unfair the college football system is and it's just made me less and less interested in the CFB. At this point I can only stand to watch LSU games and occasionally a "big" matchup whereas I used to be able to watch any game and be into it.

I agree. I will also add it has gotten frustrating watching Drew play his heart out and lay an egg defensively over and over.

I guess I must just be an old style fan of football. Being retired , the wife and I watch all the Saints & LSU games, with kids & grandkids. I even like the Thursday & Friday games in college.

Life is much more fulfilling when you spend your weekends outdoors, instead of indoors watching other people do fun stuff.

My interest has decreased, but I needed it.

When I was younger a Saints loss used to ruin like half of my week.

Now if they lose I'm pretty much over it before the game is even over.

It's just growing up. You can't be in your 30's + and have a sports team mess with you like that.

Still folllow the team more than most, still watch every game.

My Saints commitment was tested in the years before the intrawebs. I lived in an area with not one other whodat. The Saints were terrible and I lived with ridicule. There was little media available whether print or broadcast.
Now as an old fart having followed the team from inception it is far too late to turn back or even away.

I am increasingly frustrated with the rule changes, the political bullshite, and ever increasing commercialism of the NFL. My interest and viewing beyond the Saints has dwindled greatly.

Yes, in 2002 when dumbshit Haslett refused to play delhomme over a possibly injured Brooks. All they to do to make the playoffs was win one of their last three. They didn't and I was pissed. I realized they didn't care and my fire was cut in half. I recall that haslett said something to the effect that a team couldn't win with Delhomme. The next year he took the Panthers to a Superbowl.

I've lost a significant amount of interest too. Life has gotten difficult the last few years and I just had a lot of things more pressing than football. I love going to games but it's just so expensive to buy tickets, park, have nachos and a beer a the game, etc. I also don't find myself nearly as emotionally invested as I used to be. When they lose, they lose. I go on about my day. It didn't used to be like that. Maybe I'm just getting old, I don't know.
