They pick right ahead of Cleveland's 2nd pick in the 1st round and indications are that they would love to get Deshaun Watson at #12.

Meaning there could be some teams interested in making a move to get ahead of pick #12.

Smart move is trade down if foster and Barnett aren't there and take Cunningham later

You people were convinced the only good players were in the top 5 and now you want to trade the high draft pick you said would change life for the New Orleans Saints

Na. Us people were convicned there are 3 elite pass rushers and we wanted one of them.

After watching Bama again I'd be ok taking Ryan Anderson in the 2nd if none of the big 3 (Allen, Garret, & Barnett) are gone.

I sincerely hope we trade Cooks and get another 1st round pick though. He's gonna want to get paid after this season. Lets get what we can for him and draft a similar WR in the 3rd (Westbrook from OU?)

1. Trade down.
2. Acquire entire seventh round of picks.
3. Win Super Bowls LII through LVIII.

If those 3 pass rushers are gone and Watson is sitting there at 11...unless we get offered some mega deal.....take Watson and run

All these take Watson posts make me wonder; had Louisville made the championship and won, how many people would be screaming we have to take Jackson and run.

This gets said every year but it's easier said than done. It takes two to tango.

If the pass rushers are gone then then trade the pick for additional picks. Take best available player at 11 if it be LB, OT, RB or WR.

I would have no problem drafting Ruben Foster, Leonard Fournette, Davin Cook, Mike Williams, or JuJu smith at 11 if they are the best availabvle player at that pick in the first round.

I still believer the saints greatest need this offseason if a pass rusher but I believe most will be gone before the Saints pick at 11. Next I would greatest position of needs in LB.

With an aging QB in Drew a young stub RB like Fournette or Cook who have the speed and potential to take it to the house on any play would also benefit this team. I know most say RB is not a position of need but it wasn't a position of need when the Saints drafted Deuce McAllister in the 2001 draft. That draft decision turned out very well for the Saints.

A WR who can be a true # 1 would also benefit Drew and the offense especially if they do not trade cooks. Putting Cooks in the slot where he is matched up against LB, slot corners and Safeties would be deadly.

Free agency will be where I believe the Saints address the OT/OG position prior to the draft.

We're pretty set at our top 3 WR

someone even mentioned to me the saints might want to consider taking Deshaun Watson at #11 to be a 3 yr backup QB learning behind drew to be his successor.

at first I was like "no way they should do that" but then thinking more about it, im still not liking the idea, but wouldn't throw anything at the TV if it happened because that "might" not be a bad idea since we really don't have a backup to drew, hell luke mccown is old and almost as ready to retire as drew is.

one thing for sure is all the QB they keep picking in late rounds turn out they aren't worth the wasted picks

We have one.

Thomas just finished 2nd all-time on the list for receptions by rookie WRs.

Michael Thomas is a #2 WR. We need a true #1 WR to complement Michael Thomas.

Dallas had their most success under Jimmy Johnson with Michael Irvin and Alvin harper. San Francisco
Jerry Rice/ John Taylor..

Thomas and Cooks and Snead is a solid core to work with. We have WAY too many other needs, specifically on defense, to worry about the WR position. And Thomas very well could become a #1. I don't see how anyone can say otherwise considering how awesome his rookie season was.
