Saints could have had Rankins and Reed, then you have a great start for the draft.

I have the Saints as one of the most disappointing. The Saints took a WR when they could have taken another quality DL or linebacker.

WR are a dime a dozen in the NFL and the Thomas kid is not some superstar huge impact guy.

Then going back into the 2nd for Vonn Bell isnt worth the picks it gave away. We already have two decent playable guys. All Bell is going to be is a nickelback and special teams guy.

Rankins was a great pick but to think we could have had Jarran Reed or moved up a pick and took Ashawn Robinson.

Loomis is a tard ...

Yeah we could have just snapped our fingers and moved up a pick.

While it is a good draft, totally ignored offense in typical Rex Ryan fashion.

that hurt big time seeing A'Shawn go one pick ahead. I had him ranked higher than Rankins. That would have been the start of an all time epic draft. Two future all pros on a dominating d-line. Then taking a big time guard in the 3rd round and I don't think there would be an argument that the Saints had the best draft in Saints history. That close, but Saints would have f'ed it up anyway and passed on A'Shawn same as they did on Reed. As a Saints fan, this has to go down as one of the most disappointing drafts just based on what could have been if things would have fallen out a just little different (mother fricking Detriot)

Really when you get this close and see A'Shawn still on the board, Loomis should have been putting out feelers to the 4-5 teams in front of the saints to swap positions. Usually the price isn't that high for such a small jump at that point in the draft. Surely could have moved up a few spots for our 5th round pick. Loomis didn't have to be a mind reader, just should have realized what was on the line and not taken any chances.

I agree and past draft history proves this out.

We should have drafted Cody Whitehair instead of Thomas but the other two picks were great.

Hard to argue with Jalen Ramsey and Myles Jack on the same team. That's two top 5 players, assuming Jack can stay healthy enough to play. Plus they get Fowler back.

But our draft is worth a solid top 5 or thereabouts.

People will whine about why didn't we get player X or player Y, but we got highly competent, well ranked players who still have a high ceiling and can flourish. PLUS all 3 fill needs and Vonn Bell was a huge value pick as he had a lot of 1st round grades AND it thumbs Carolina in their eye as a lot of their fans really wanted him so they take a dude in Bradberry that I wonder if he would've been there in the 5th round, honestly.

So yeah. We're having a very good draft.

Ironically enough 45 other teams disagreed with you. The Lions even passed on him in the first round.
