4th in yards from scrimmage in 2023, led the team in TDs

And he did that while only getting 7 - 7.5 touches (runs & targets) a game. Imagine the impact if they were giving him 10-12.

Carr's restructure is hardly our biggest cap problems.

Our Biggest cap issues are Ramczyk, Thomas, Lattimore, and Cam Jordan if he doesn't get back to where he was.

I love Cam, but I think he’s done. He might be back this year, but I don’t see him as much more than a body at this point.

I think Thomas and Lattimore or gone this year. IMHO

Was stafford a good qb at Detroit? 74-90-1 (.451) and 0-3 in playoffs. At Carr's current age, stafford had never won a playoff game. Did he become good when he won the Super Bowl or did LA want him bc he was already good?

Career passer rating...
Stafford - 91.0
Carr - 92.3

- Stafford has and always will be considered a better QB than Carr. Better arm and athleticism. No. 1 overall draft pick. Not stupid or goofy like Carr. He was loved in Detroit and would've had more success if it hadn't been for injuries.

- That Ram's team could've won playoff games with almost any quarterback. Even Carrbage

- Stop trying to justify what the FO is doing. No other team is jealous we have Carr. The Raiders don't miss him or want him back. I've never heard a single person in real life say a single positive thing about him being on our team. This board is the only place on planet earth where you find Carr-truthers.

If one of those other guys was our QB, we wouldn’t have sniffed the playoffs.

With Carr, we didn't make the playoffs.

What did he do in 2023?

And he has the cap hit of a borderline of a strong #2 WR or #1 WR on a good deal.

Nearly $16M cap hit the next 2 years AND over $5M in dead cap the following for his void year.

About the same each year

105/652/9 with 2 TD passes in 2022
114/692/6 with 1 TD pass in 2023

Hard to argue his effectiveness. And the onus is on the offensive staff as far his contract relative to his usage.

almost 800 all purpose yards, 7 touchdowns

he makes $4-5 million less per year than Mark Andrews and Kelce. They both had less TD's than Taysom

Kelce 984 yards, 5 td
Andrews 544 yards, 6 td

Apples to Oranges. Taysom is not a TE. He's a gadget player who run's wildcat in the redzone.

We have other TE's to fill that role. He produces the same numbers for significantly less money

Andrew’s missed like 1/3rd the season.

Those guys are paid because they’re ELITE mismatches down the field. I don’t think a coach in the nfl would take taysom over one of those guys.

It’s pretty disingenuous to say he produces “the same numb” when you’re changing the game by adding all purpose yards. He’s not in the top 27 for that.

I didn't say they would, that's why they're paid a $4-5 mm per year premium over Taysom.

I said they produced the same statistical outcomes. Taysom scores and can win games for us, period

You can't compare his production to other TEs. His impact on the game is completely different regardless of stats. Kelce is a much higher caliber player in terms of impact. And in a normal full season he has double digit TDs

Kelce - 51 first downs

Hill - 37 first downs

Sounds about right to me for the price difference. Hill is 100% worth the money

I like Hill especially since more Hill usually = less Carr. Most of his production comes on the ground so maybe we should compare his salary to other RBs.

Thomas isn't a problem. He'll be a post-june 1st cut and count 9mil against the 2024 cap and 9mil against the 2025 cap.

End of story.

IMO Lattimore gets traded closer to draft weekend or even during draft weekend.

20 mill dead cap for an a-hole is a problem

Whatever it takes to get that cancer away from this team.

Will be very interesting to see how Kubiak uses a guy like Hill. I feel Carmichael just basically rehashed
Paytons playbook for Hill without adding new wrinkles. A more creative play caller may be able to do even more with him.
