Sure. My point is those cap issues are a bigger issue and problem what we're doing with our starting qb, the most important position in all of sports.

Not really. Mickey hit a home run last season by getting Mike to renegotiate his contract giving the Saints the cheapest way possible to get rid of him. Mike bet on himself to stay healthy and prove he could still be a top WR in the league, and in turn get himself a big contract somewhere else, but he failed. IMO this is why he's so pissed off and crying on twitter that Carr held him back and got him hurt and all. He desperately needs teams to believe he can still be a top WR but he can't. His body is broken and now he just looks like a head case on top of it.

I agree. The saints have alot of problems: money problems, coaches, quarterback, offensive/defensive, gm. The number one problem is getting that bum Michael Thomas away from our organization. Should've happened years ago.

That is not our number one problem. Not even close. One player whining is not that big a deal. Chiefs are in the superbowl and Toney is whining. Every team has some dumbass who acts a fool- its just we had a down year so it makes it worse.

If he'd just shut his mouth and take the $9-10mm per year, he'd be living pretty great. I guess he needs $30 million per or he'll batter construction workers

This is only one minor example of the many reasons why that bum cancer needs to be gone.

Taysom is not a TE. He's a gadget player who run's wildcat in the redzone.

Comparing him to TEs is weird, because other than to play games with the rules, how often does he actually line up as a TE? But, when comparing his salary, who would you compare him to?
His contract would make him the 12th highest TE
Tied for 27th amongst WRs
10th highest paid RB
Almost twice as high as the next highest paid FB (17 total FBs in the league
Or he is the 47th highest paid skill player. Regardless of what "position" he is, the new OC needs to have him on the field for more than 37% of the offensive plays (40% last year)

Im not disagreeing he needs to be gone. But hes not the number one issue- this team has more pressing issues than getting rid of Thomas. Thomas was away from the team and we still had major issues.

I understand what you're saying. I agree there are more complex/major issues going on. But also there is something to be said for changing the culture of an organization and it starts with getting rid of all the dead weight.

Slo don’t even know what the shot he’s trying to say other than an obvious cap restructure that was always 90% planned to happen sets us up for an obvious 2 more years locked in w Car

I mean we only restructure Brees repeatedly. And our best players.

And so were Jameis, Dalton, Semien, etc. in the past, right? Lots of shite went wrong those years. Hell, Semien was Jameis's backup and what was our record?

Since you like to pretend, Jameis was redhot with SP, and we were 5-2. Then Jameis tore his knee and bust his back in consecutive seasons, and went career backup instead of fighting to start somewhere.

With Simeon we were awful 0-4 - but yeah to you Trevor Simeon is the same as Carr, got it. fricking idiot.

How about an actual qb stat to judge them? Passer rating career... TS - 78.7 DC - 92.3 Anyone equating these 2 is a moron

Carr is a slightly better QB than Semien, Jameis (maybe not Dalton).

We have a fricking moron. Trevor Simeon is equal or close to Derek Carr. Righttttttt.

Simeon has throw for 44 tds in his career with 32 pics. He literally has not won a single game as a Saint starter. 0-4.

But to this fricktard, its basically the same as Carr right, 242 tds and 107 pics. Right?

fricking MORON. There is no excuse for this level of pathetic posting.

You ignore the point: for a team with the cap, age, and talent issues that we do, it doesn't make a difference. Mediocrity is our ceiling.

But go ahead and pretend you're happy with that ceiling and that going from 7 wins to 9 wins is worth pushing $100M onto 2 cap years when we're already underwater without that deal

*ETA: keep melting though. It's always entertaining to know I can come back here and see a grown man losing his fricking mind because he's so emotionally invested in defending bad decision-making.

In any scenario, youre comparing Trevor Simeon and Carr and saying theyre similar. Youre a fricking asshat.

And your also ignoring that the offseason hasnt happened yet, we had a decent dead cap amount in 2023, and a draft and restructures are on the way.

In summary, youre guess work is annoying and your just a crybaby pussy. You have no clue what will happen next so shut the frick up.
