I'm sure the fattest poster on here would have done better than DLP.

Every now and then something not that funny makes me laugh here. This was one of those times.

I know a lot of posters(me included) and Trip have been calling this.

Though I still think it's extremely likely, if no centers fell into BPA when we pick this would let us see Lelito there one more year(along with Goodwin for insurance; I never said I want him to start, just to be brought in just in case like with McCown) before NEEDING to draft(or sign) one next year.

This move let's us literally go BPA the whole draft.

How much of that has to do with the offense they played in?

Or the offensive line, considering the 9ers have three 1st round picks on the line, including the best left side in the NFL in Joe Staley and Mike Iupati. Alex Boone was undrafted but is one of the top guards in the league. Vernon Davis and Gore are some of the best blockers at their position. That unit can hide some deficiencies.

Not trying to sell Goodwin short, but maybe temper expectations a tad. Just remember he is 35. People were excited about Olin Kruetz, too

On PFF each player is graded individually on each play. Even if a back gets hit in the backfield or goes for 20 yards, if the center did the same thing on each play he would get the same grade(from my understanding).

Though it does make your job easier playing with good players. Thing is we have some good players on our line too.

Even PFF isn't that sensitive.

We saw this season that a weak link brought down the scores of the guys next to him.

That's why I said it helps to have good players around you. It makes you play better(higher score). And coming here he'd still have good players around him(maybe not one of the guys right next to him...).

Playing with bad players will make you try to do to much and your play will suffer, which is what happened with us.

And even the it doesn't always rub off. Evans(-5.5) and DLP(-3.7) had far worse scores than Grubbs(0.7) and Strief(-0.1) run blocking.

So while who you play with matters, it also depends a lot on what you do.

If he does sign, I still want Lelito to have the first crack at hit.
