My book is offering the Saints +110 to win the NFC South. I personally think this offers tremendous value for anyone who thinks the Saints bounce back. What does the board think?

well considering im broke and dont have more money saved...i would like to put at least a G on it and could do that today.
I still think we turn it around.
my betting in the past usually puts me around 75%-85% being correct...however that is not including Saints or LSU games...take it FWIW I am blinded by the goggles.

A LOT of value in us winning the South at + odds though.

i usually dont gamble...but have been giving it serious thought this past season
im usually pretty solid on other games...Saints always throw me for a loop though.

85 is definitely high but I dont think 75 is off tbh.
i do pick my spots sort of like floyd mayweather
i do only pick games where i am very educated about both teams
no i wouldnt go that far...but i dont sleep with anything less than a 8 and there is no shame in high standards...not all of us like to marry pieces that look like livestock.

well depends on your standard of living...
i prefer to have 3-6 months salary saved in the bank at all times...never know when i might have a bad day and say F everybody, F this...
you cant do that if you need next weeks check or the one after that
...what about unexpected life emergencies...cant get caught with your pants down

i think you need to go look up what "broke" means.
Even bookies I know that bet as well, pick and choose, and they don't even hit 75-85%.

You would be a celebrity if you picked 75-85% winners buddy.
That being said, if you bet the complete opposite of peej, you might be close.

Its very similar to playing stocks...im pretty good at both
Posted on 9/23/14 at 6:56 pm to partywiththelombardi
Then why are you "broke"?
There's people that are good at both and they're living in luxury.
either you're a. full of shite or b. betting $1
I'll give you the benefit and say you're b.

If he's that good, he could make money selling picks without even betting.

Vegas guys make a solid living going just over 60%. 75%-85% would put every wealth investor in this country out of business.
Posted on 9/23/14 at 7:10 pm to NorthGwinnettTiger
75% winning percentage is a 47.5% return on your investment fwiw. Warren Buffett would be awestruck.
Edit - And 60% which is what most Vegas "studs" do is a 16% ROI...which is pretty amazing.
